Suspected members of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) have taken hundreds of hostages in Borno State. AFP reports.

It was gathered that the Jihadists linked to the Islamic State group, late Tuesday overran Kukawa in the Lake Chad region, seizing people who had just returned to their homes after spending two years in a displacement camp, said Babakura Kolo, head of a local militia.

In June, at least 20 soldiers and more than 40 civilians were killed and hundreds injured in twin attacks carried out by the group.

The group in the penultimate month had also killed at least 81 people in a raid on a village in Gobiyo Local government area of Borno state.

Nigeria may eventually become an Islamic state if Yorubas don't pull out now...

The Americans have warned us of this impending doom.

We'd be foolish if this catches us unprepared.

There are some places where civilians should just be told to evacuate and anyone found thereafter there should be treated as a terrorist.

This is very very painful.

Truth is even if a country is created for these terrorists, they will kill themselves, and the few survivors will realise how stupid they have been.

D unfortunate thing is that our leaders are clueless on how to tackle this.
If only they coperated with the Chadian president, some level of victory would have been recorded.

The Chad Republic remains their safe haven. The boarder needs to be tighten-up & clampdown this terrorists. They attack here, and return to Chad who harbor them with no haste.

The lull in BH attacks earlier this year was due to the intense operations by the Chadian Army ably led by the Chadian President.

The Nigerian Military simply rode on the back of that onslaught to claim progress against BH & ISWAP. Now the Chadians have relaxed, the true ineptitude of the Military & leadership at the centre is being exposed once again.

Buratai has been fighting this ISWAp without sucess for 5years now...I dont know why the federal government are against changing millitary generals...its now or never, the cabls has lost some powers...any appointment now will favour Nigeria.
The hand writing is clear, ameachi probe, akpabio probe, magu arrest,Tinubu silence, oshiomole fall, malami about to caught, less news about cabals, law makers trying to fight for the people...
