A source in the Ile Oodua’s Palace of Ooni of Ife recently confirms a fire outbreak in the palace.

According to the source, a building inside the Ile Oodua’s Palace of Ooni of Ife gutted by fire.

This incident happens on Wednesday and as however causes panic in the ancient city, The Punch Report.

"It is not major, people are only scared because the entrance to the palace was locked", the source added.

Also, an administrative officer of Osun State Fire Service, Fatai Aremu, confirmed the incident.

However, the Osun State Fire Service has been called on to help to quench the fire.

The cause of the outbreak is yet to be ascertained as well as damage is yet to be recorded.
