This is why I just shake my head when we see superpowers like the US and China having conflicts and most of us say they should go to war. If these guys go to war and use their nuclear arsenal no nation will be left untouched. It will be doomsday for the world as we know it.

Reason I get scared to see the nuclear stockpiles of crazy nations like China, Russia, North Korea et al. The only thing stopping them from going haywire is because they know the US is there to keep them in check. Nothing else. Highly volatile crazy nations.

Among all these nations with nuclear weapons, it's actually the US and its NATO allies that have refused to pledge a NFU (No First Use) policy when it comes to nuclear weapons.

China has had a NFU on nuclear weapons since the 50s, Russia has a policy to only use nuclear weapons after it has been attacked, India also has a NFU policy.

It's only the US and NATO that still reserves the right to make use of nuclear weapons as a first act of war.

So if nuclear war were to happen in the world, it will be either US or any of the member countries in NATO that will be the first to use it.
