goodnessme1:This is where sowere falls. I didn't forget you Facebook influencers. Maradonas on Facebook dribbling the unsuspecting people. They think you really want a better Nigeria, but I know you are looking for a place in the government. Once that place is secured, you will use your pen to inflict pain on the people. I know you all, just that the people hardly know you guys. You tell them about a better Nigeria, yet you know that a better Nigeria is impossible. You tell them about restructuring, yet you know it won't happen. Bunch of selfish liars. 2 Likes |

The problem with this comment is that we have been hearing it from one person or the other over the last 20 years. Meanwhile, the person writing won't join a party, form one, or work hard to hold the leaders to account. 1 Like |

Op, try and space that for easy reading. I won't spoil my eyes because I want to read your article. There's not going to be a revolution in Nigeria. Nigeria is too polarised along ethnic and religious lines. It has always been like that since the first coup plotters killed politicians from other ethnicities but their own. Nigeria is going to divide. That much is certain. Whether it will be peacefully or through a civil war is yet unclear to me. But if what Dr Obadiah Mailafia revealed is anything to go by, then the stars don't portend well for Nigeria. It's the bitter truth. Swallow it. |

Revolution can not solve the Nigerian/African problems.Take a clue from the various ARAB springs. A revolution will only yield great results in a civilized or pro civilized country. countries where logic and logical thinking is the back bone of their civilization. The African civilization is logically bankrupt to a great fault. Whats responsible for the development of any civilization is their tradition and culture. The African/Nigerian traditions and cultures were discovered and mapped by permittivity and primitive instincts. Our African traditions and culture can not instigate real/modern progress and development to a large extent. For us traditions and culture is all about food, drinks, clothes, weddings, religion and the likes. For the civilize word tradition and culture is all about progress and development. Too cut the long story short real progress and development is not enshrined in our culture and traditions. To the average African, progress is when he or she is able to buy/afford the white man goods,or living conditions, way of life.etc. The African civilization doesnt innovate, create, manufacture, discover, etc.Any civilization thats unable to do any of the earlier mentioned to a great extent will surfer. The richest people/countries in the world innovate, create, manufacture, design, etc. Our tradition and culture is way too primitive. Lacks core logic. |

NIGERIA needs expatriates as Leaders. And these EXPATRIATES must move into Nigeria in their millions so that they can permeate everywhere. Also, They mustn't be in a HURRY to Leave again. NIGERIA is one of the worst places to give birth on earth now. That's the Fact. We recycle POVERTY and we do it as if our lives depend on it. The LAST TIME I visited Nigeria and was leaving through the Port Harcourt International Airport, I wept at each IMMIGRATION SPOT... because it was as if the officials of the Nigerian Immigration gave me MONEY to keep for them. The BEGGING was like RAINY SEASON, even the cutely dressed ones disappointed me. One followed me almost to the point of boarding simply because I dashed someone at the Airport 5k. If they had opportunity, they would have labeled something against me. Please, I take GOD beg us, let's behave ourselves at every portal of entry. It's worth the decision, because most countries Nationals pass through these places 1 Like |

Nigeria needs to be restructured along regional lines. Each region should manage their own resources and pay a percentage to the center, that way, we will address a lot of ills in our country. Security (Police) Education Infrastructure Resource control All the above should be handed over to the regional governments. We shouldn't have anything like exclusive list for the federal government, 'qouter system' should be abolished, it's a lazy man's arrangement. Let every body develope on their own pace. It will encourage healthy compition and engender progress. Anybody against restructuring of Nigeria along this line is a a person against justice, equity, peace and progress. The present constitution should be totally jettisoned, as it's not reflective of the will and aspirations of the people of Nigeria. It's a military influenced constitution, not one made by the people. No progress can ever be made on a wrong and faulty foundation, no matter how well anybody patches it and pretends about it, the structure will surely collapse. Knowing this therefore, we must stop deceiving ourselves and do the right thing! . |
