The Imo and Abia numbers are suspect to me .

How many of those numbers are double registrants?
Re: State By State Figures Of Inec Voters Registration by Afam4eva(m): 11:09am On Feb 22, 2011
Those northern states are very suspect.

Based on the numbers - I can safely estimate that the Nigerian population is about 85 Million and not 150 Million that is advertised.

Ibos make up 90% of the population in Lagos, so the SW is going to GEJ. Yeah, and there are more Ibos in Nigeria than there are Yorubas and Hausas combined. Whatever fries your Akpu

Lagos and Kano states have more than 11 million registered voters.  None of these two states is a stronghold of the ruling party.

Can someone explain to me how Bauchi registered more voters this cycle than their total population in 2006

Am I insane, misreading something. . . ?

EDIT: Badly misread. Typo in spreadsheet, let me make sure I have the right #s.
Re: State By State Figures Of Inec Voters Registration by fstranger3(m): 12:15pm On Feb 22, 2011
Very good question

It means that every one in Bauchi is of the voting age. That said 68% registration of Lagos population is highly suspicious too, It means that everyone that could vote, registered, which is insane.

This crap is nonsense.
Re: State By State Figures Of Inec Voters Registration by ekubear1: 12:18pm On Feb 22, 2011

Well, it is because the 1% yorubas in Lagos are all tribalists and always rig elections against the 99% Ibos. Yeah, you are not dreaming, it is a case of the minority cheating the majority. Hmmm, Yorubas and their jujus always cheating the peace-loving Ibos that make up 99% of Lagos-State population

how on earth can ibos be 90% of Lagos? Even in areas like Idumota and Festac where they seem to be concentrated, they dont outnumber yorubas otherwise one of them would have made it to the council chairmanship position. Lagos is unarguably 40% yoruba, 22% ibo, 20% hausa and then others

That is the number IBOs on NL would have us believe!

22 % Ibos in Lagos is pushing it. I'd say between 12 - 15

So it means that the SE registered the least numbers of voters and as such it is the least significant geopolitical zone in Nigeria. So ignoring that part of the country is actually a smart political move.

If the election is free and fair, the Igbos will be the ones to decide who wins the presidency. We have the population spread throughout the country and in the millions in almost all states.

All Igbos weren't rallied behind one person as they are jonathan so you link is irrelevant, you can thank us for abiolas vote as well grin. Also, I'm guessing abiola was going to a halloween party that day. cheesy

Let us face the facts from this INEC's figure.About 50% of the electorates live in NW and SW.That should be a headache for Jonathan because NW is Buhari's stronghold and has almost 19million people while his deputy is from SW which has more than 14million people.Jonathan's state is the least populated while his stronghold which is SE and SS combined has a population of over 15million.

@Abagworo,
why do you think that where one resides determines who who he/she votes for?

What made u think that an ijaw man who lives in katsina will vote buhari over jonathan simply because he lives there.?

Well, on behalf all Yorubas, both in Nigeria and in the diaspora, I say Thank you. Now, lets do it again! We need to make sure that another Yoruba man lives in  the Aguda House for the next 8 yrs. We will repay the gesture in year, Never! grin

Lets face it, GJ will get most votes in the SW, if not most, then half. Everyone in the SW is not yoruba, and every yoruba isn't going to vote buhari. Also igbos voted en-masse in NW(so unless they rig buhari in, which i suspect they will, he's going to have a hard time).
