It no longer news that the Edo state Governorship election is fast approaching and with just two weeks left to determine the Governor that will pilot the affairs of the state for the next four years, no fewer than 3,000 APC members, which include a ward Chairman decamped to the fold of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Edo state.

The development took place on Friday at Egor local government, Edo South, where the state Governor, Godwin Obaseki, who is also the candidate of the People's Democratic Party PDP, has gone to campaign for his re-election bid, as the defectors cited the giant progress the Governor has made the state to witness, as their reason for their defection, and added that they're tired of APC.

In it's words, while making the development known today via a Tweet, the PDP Headquaters said:
"Edo South Campaign, APCNig chairman, and more than three thousand members of the party, decamping to the PDP in Uwelu Ward 5, Egor LGA, during the tour of Edo south #EdoNoBeLagos"

Consequently, many reactions have continued to trail the new and recent political development in the state, as many political analysts, have tipped the People's Democratic Party PDP candidate, Governor Godwin Obaseki, to triumph at the September 19, Governorship election.
