Nigerian Military Reacts To Boko Haram Plot To Attack Abuja by Insidenaija: 7:42pm On Sep 06, 2020
Army and other security agencies have been put on red alert over Boko Haram alleged plot to attack the nation's capital, Abuja, the Defence Headquarters(DHQ) has said.

DHQ spokesman Major General John Enenche, who made this known on Sunday afternoon, said, plans have been put in place to stop any attack.

The DHQ assured citizens of safety and urged them to go about their normal daily duties without worries.

DHQ shared the statement on its social media pages.
The statement reads:

"The Defence Headquarters wish to reassure residents of FCT and other adjoining States that the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies have been on red alert to combat crime and ensure effective surveillance of the Federal Capital Territory and other States of the country.

" This is imperative sequel to a purported memorandum from the Nigeria Customs Service warning it’s staff on a possible attack on the FCT. The Armed Forces of Nigeria working together with other security and response agencies particularly the core intelligence agencies hereby assure the general public that preventive and preemptive intelligence are ongoing. The general public is thus advised to go about their lawful businesses undeterred.

" Furthermore, the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies wish to assure the general public that the offensives against the common enemies of this Nation will not cease until normalcy is restored in all parts of the country. Hence, the general public is equally enjoined to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity accordingly."

Who do these fôols think they’re talking to ? They didn’t deny the presence of terrorists at the capital seat of power, they didn’t assure the citizens of an offensive to wipe off the terrorists instead we’re assured of protection (defensive) instead an offensive attack against the terrorists. Abuja people, protect una self o, this government no send una at all cool

The people making the reactions are even in the office, while the ones in the front line are running away at the sight of any terror attack. Citizens are just at the mercy of anything they see.

They should better not send out any safety assurance to citizens in Abuja, that assurance alone can make Shekau vex.

Audio General Buratai is probably thinking of sending memo to the Presidency to request for logistic funds to keep Abuja safe

Toothless corrupt General that always bark but can't bite.
