Madam Ugwuanyi is moving many thinks to Nsukka.

When Ezeagu person comes, he will move his own.

Then Ekweremadu from Awgu side will movie to Awgu and Nkanu side.

When somebody from Oji River comes, he will move his own.

And so the circle continues until the city is empty.

Onye apari!

Note that this college of medicine has always been in Nsukka zone, Adada campus right from the time ESUT was still ASUTECH. It was Chimaroke that moved it to Parkland and moved the main campus from Enugu to his village, Agbani.

Ugwuanyi is just restoring this campus that was originally in Nsukka zone. Esut history will also be of help to you.

UNN is in Nsukka zone.
The university of Nigeria itself.
Is that not enough.
A FG space research institute that was brought in Enugu was influenced by Ugwuanyi to be cited in Nsukka.
Peace mass transit technical school is also under construction in Nsukka zone.
It's like Nsukka people want to kill off Enugu just to ensure that their side grows.
That's why they are currently pushing for the governorship to remain in Nsukka even after Ugwuanyi cause they are afraid that the next governor might try to unbundle certain things.
There are certain stereotypes formed about Nsukka people that I'm fighting myself not to buy into.

Honestly, before opening this thread, I was expecting to see a wheelbarrow, a few blocks, and a bricklayer. And he never disappoints.

Coming after Barr. Chime, Enugu people must be disappointed.

Their current governor is one big blemish on Chime's legacy.

Truly it’s impossible to please everybody because I see absolutely nothing wrong in developing other parts of the state.

It seems you don't know much about Enugu state. Before the creation of Enugu state, we all were in Anambra state. The old Anambra state was made up of Abakaliki, Awka, Enugu, Nsukka, Nnewi and Onitsha.

Old Enugu state was then created from the Anambra state. The old Enugu state was made up of Abakaliki, Enugu and Nsukka zones. In 1996, Abakaliki and Afikpo (from then Abia state) became the present Ebonyi state, leaving Enugu and Nsukka as the present Enugu state.

The then Enugu zone was made up of Enugu north, Enugu south, Enugu east, Udi, Oji-river, Aninri, Awgu, Nkanu East, Nkanu west and Ezeagu while Nsukka zone was Igbo-eze south, Igbo-eze north, Nsukka, Isi-uzo, Igbo-etiti, Udenu and Uzo uwani. That is Enugu zone with 10 LGAs and Nsukka zone with 7 LGAs, though the Nsukka zone has bigger land mass and over 60% of the population.

Enugu zone was then divided into two new zones - Enugu west and Enugu east senatorial zones with Isi-uzo from Nsukka zone joining them while the old Nsukka zone remained Enugu north with exception of Isi-Uzo.

Apart from some faculties of UNN in Nsukka, every other federal and state facilities have remained in Enugu East and west senatorial zones, leaving Nsukka zone with higher population with nothing. The college of medicine that has been in Nsukka zone since when we were still in old Anambra state was wickedly moved to Enugu by Chimaroke. YOU GET THE POINT NOW!!! This is called injustice. Ugwuanyi only restored the original Esut plan.

As a matter of fact, I don't know between our Obiano and Ugwuanyi who is more of a failure.

Obiano is a disappointment to ndi Anambra, Anambra north senatorial district, Anambra east and Aguleri in general. Anambra is now in the hands of Agbero's

All this story of how Enugu was in the 10th century is not my concern. This is why we will never progress as a nation. All that has passed.
If that's your grouse, isn't it better to ensure that any other government institution planned be sited in the Nsukka zone.
There is no "ESUT original plan". The plan was it Divine?
Nothing is beyond amendment or review.
My point is that it is against common sense to waste resources rebuilding an already existing institution!
Damn! Why is the black man so selfish and narrow minded. The funds being wasted isn't your problem as long as everything is brought to your tiny enclave.
Why not use that money and ensure that every household in Nsukka has water instead of senseless exercise just to satisfy someone's sense of entitlement.

Please always do your research well, so you would be well informed. History helps us to know our past for the good of today and future.

Moving the Adada campus back to it's original zone is not just to right the wrong of Chimaroke but to move the institution to a more spacious place for expansion. If you know Parklan well, you will agree with me that the place is not spacious enough for other new medical faculties that are coming up in the college of medicine.

Meanwhile, nobody is closing Parklane. It will still be there as a tertiary hospital.

Henry651:
Am a student in parklane and i support this change in location because there is no more space in the capital for hostel expansion and building of more faculties.. currently only medical students stay in the hostel because it only just three hostels which is not enough for all students making it hard for other students like med lab, Anatomy nd nursing to find accommodation. Also no lands to expand the faculties making the classroom not enough for students.
Kudos to the governor.

If it were Dave Umahi, I would beat my chest and go to bed knowing fully well that the project will be completed in record time with superb structural designs.

But for the man in Enugu, despite his bigger federal allocation hasn't done magic infrastructurally.

If Ugwuanyi was serious, he would have started this project in 2015.

Ebonyi State doesn't have a state owned Teaching Hospital, so Dave Umahi started constructing one from July 2019. Currently, it is over 70% completion with a big flyover in front of the main entrance.

See attached pictures as proof of good project execution.
