it was once said constant taking of garri is bad for the eyes, havent really done much research on that to find out if it is true
back home in naija that was my favourite,garri and akara was my specialty

Like everything else, too much intake of garri could have side effects.
Garri is made from cassava . . . Cassava is rich in carbohydrate and too much of carb. has side effects.

In this regard, if garri is made from cassava and cassava is a major source of carbohydrates and too much intake of carbohydrates makes you fat, why do people [in Nigeria, for example] that take garri often due to inability to afford better food get thiner instead of fatter? #Justthinking

@OP: I love garri as well. In fact, it has gotten to the point that my family has started to hide the garri. Too much garri isn't good though--its full of starch. So unless you're a very active person I suggest you cut down on your garri intake. Even I had to cut down on how much garri I eat.

Garri really affects the eye. Though not absolute blindness. There was a time my Younger Bro was always wacking Garri, his eye balls started getting yelllow.

I followed after him and also got yellow eye balls!
