REP. ARC. IBRAHIM ALMUSTAPHA ALIYU CHAIRS HOUSE'S TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ON TANK FARM INSPECT TANK FARMS IN CALABAR

Member representing Wurno/Rabah Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Abuja, Rep. Arc. Ibrahim Almustapha Aliyu has been appointed as Chairman, Technical Committee on Tank Farm, a Sub Committee under the House's Adhoc Committee on Tank Farms.

As part of the ongoing investigative activities, the Committee embarked on a working visit to Calabar, the Cross-River State Capital to inspect tank farms belonging to different Oil and Gas companies operating in the country.

The Committee among other major responsibilities is saddled with the task of inspecting the tank farms to ensure total compliance of various oil and gas companies licensed to operate within the country to the Federal Government tank farm safety regulations.

They had earlier inspected tank farms in Lagos, Benin and Ogara to mention a few, and are expected to submit a comprehensive report at the end of the inspection exercise for further necessary actions.

The investigative exercise is geared towards strengthening Federal Government's tank farm safety regulations in a bid to protect the environment, properties and lives of Nigerians.
