Aremo Olusegun Osoba, a former governor of Ogun state has revealed how leaders of the defunct Action Congress (now APC) came together to ensure the third term agenda of former President Olusegun Obasanjo was killed.
Osoba, who was responding to Chief Ayo Adebanjo who accused him of being a sell-out on restructuring said he alongside Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande and other leaders instructed lawnakers elected on the party’s platform not to accept the N50m bribe being offered by the Third term agenda proponents then.

He also said they collaborated with eminent Nigerians across the country such as General Muhammadu Buhari, Uche Chukwumerije, Ben Obi and others to ensure that the Bill on Third term did not scale second reading at the Senate.
“If we are not fighting for emancipation, how come the Third term agenda was killed? Where were they? Did they have any representative in any of the chambers?”

“ We were the ones who made sure that our party members did not take the N50m being distributed to legislators then, and collaborated with everybody in the country including General Muhammadu Buhari, Gambo Jimeta, MD Yusuf”.

“Senators Ben Obi and Uche Chukwumerije were leading the senators from the East and we collaborated with them to fight third term agenda and ensured that the thing did not go to second reading under Ken Nnamani Senate Presidency. We have our credentials”.

“You shouldn’t just go about lambasting all of us as he used to do before. The worst sellout has always been with him over the decades".

"Let us be constructive for once. Even if we are going to disengage the country, we will do it by sitting on the table with everybody; with all ethnic groups”.

So effectively the lawmakers don't have any integrity on their own to know what is good or bad for the country's democracy, and without your intervention they would have cashed out? If that's the case then the national assembly has always been full of cash & carry lawmakers. Right now they've upgraded to become rubber stamp lawmakers. What a shame!

And I'm sure you know that majority of those in APC today are PDP alumni members? When it comes to corruption or poor governance, this party loyalty mentality of blame games must cease if we must head somewhere to achieve a better society cos all of these guys have failed the nation devoid of party platform.

both are hedonist. APC are in the habit of changing the narrative to make it look like they are giving Nigerias the best of life. PDP failed Nigerians, APC upgraded it yet they want Nigerians to hail them for being an unmitigated disaster never seen before.

Sparogatively, every democratic administration that has ruled Nigeria have sought for tenure elongation one way or the other.

OBJ - 4 years for 3 Tenures

Yar'adua - Death came too early

GEJ - 6 years for 1 Tenure (which would have inadvertently made him rule for 12 years)

PMB - 4 years for 3 Tenures (which he later downplayed as non-existent due to agitations from different quarters)

Power intoxicates! However, the average Nigerian is just like her politicians. Extremely corrupt! Don't blame the leaders, blame everyone including you!

Interesting. But why not work with facts only? I'm not a fan of PMB but I think all we had regarding his third term ambition was heresay.

Meanwhile, is "sparogatively" a word?

All these things happening in Nigeria, Obasanjo started them, he introduced corruption and bully into the system, he also injected election malpractice and rigging into the whole body of our system, we will never forget that man and the cruelty he has set as legacy.

Reason why Obasanjo should be jailed and never allow to talk at all.

That Yoruba man started this downfall the country is facing today.

The best thing they did was banning History in school. Nigerians have short attention span. It id always the ignoramus that make the most noise about APC/PDP--two sides of the same coin.

Those idiots will sign and support any bill as long as it comes with a package, that's how they almost succeeded in passing the water bill.
They've lost their sense of duty, the solemn allergence they swore with Q'uran and Bible to discharge their duties effectively has long been forgotten simply because God is a merciful God. I wish they'll b swearing in the name of Odenjiji.
what i'm i even saying? Those idiots are nothing but burden to common Nigerians.
Bleep em all.
