I want to go into blockchain, is it still compulsory I learn html and css before learning python?
I just wanted to at least know one programming language, and from my research python is beginner friendly.

If you want to become a Blockchain developer, learn Rust or JavaScript. But I strongly advise Rust and the substrate framework. JavaScript goes for solidity, an etheruem framework. Though solidity is widely popular, due to it's high charges and learning curve, people are switching over to Rust and substrate.

Nice advice, learn HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, AND PHP first, python is too wide. you can only use python after you have learnt some of the frameworks like Django for webdevelopment, Tkinter for desktop application and Kivy and BeeWare for mobile application or data science, i think studying python alone cannot do any task. Go with OP advise first, you are welcome to our WORLD!

Html is d a beginner language for programming, since you'll get used to patterns on programming.. But it is not necessary

Html kwa, html is not for beginners op learn C biko, within a month you've finished learning it and a lot of languages have the same syntax and rules with c.

Na wa O. So C is easier than HTML. I am curious though how many C jobs are available. You can't learn C in a month. Because the koko is anyone learning programming hopes to get a job and get paid with it.

undecidedundecided I learnt C within three weeks there is nothing hard there except for pointers and addressing, C is a language which can solve almost any algorithm out there whereas html can hardly solve any, html can only structure web content through browsers, c is also versatile anything you can think off was built with C, from compilers to OSes to VMs to Servers etc. C is a general programming language and the fastest language out there because its features don't rely on the machine.

Just because you learnt C within three weeks doesn't mean others can do it. Abilities are not the same. Another might take six months and would end up jobless because of few C jobs.

There are no c jobs, in fact programming jobs are hard to come by nowadays, I dey always tell una if you want to make a living the programming industry is already filled the main reason I learnt programming is because I like it kabisa but you see job, forget it. The worst is web development gringrin but sha C is a startup language not one you use to get a job.

There are a lot of programming jobs. The C programming doesn't have much jobs like that. C is used in embedded systems mostly and is a very specialised field and not that easy to get into. Web development is fast because almost every business has a website or a web application which powers their business. Yeah C is a good startup language. If I was 16 and learning programming I would start with C and C++ but for an unemployed adult omho na waste of time. Even if you want to learn a static language better java and c# than C.

Concerning that job...

There was a whatsapp group I joined here recently, it was mainly for programming discussion but along the line a fellow dropped a nodejs/nuxtjs job for $2,000 per month and no one was able to apply for it mainly because it wasn't their stack, they already had a job and/or they could no do it.

Bros, the jobs is even more than the applicants.

gringrin jobs more than the applicants? Besides $2k per month is small except in the eyes of Nigerians, the amount of programmers has risen in Nigeria if that guy should post it on somewhere like LinkedIn or jobberman he would get more than enough applicants, simple fact remains that there are more programmers than jobs face it, as for me I dey go write less stress for lots of money, not after months of learning one thing no job, thankfully I saw that and stopped learning other languages, I enjoy C and C++.

Dude thinks that it's easy to recruit tech talent in Nigeria. Segfault perform an experiment go and create a fake job ad on LinkedIn asking for mid to senior developers. Watch and see the kind of nonsense that comes in. 90 percent of people applying aren't even programmers. They just sit down and apply to every vacancy they see online.

oga, first of all Iike the fact that you code because of your passion for it. But about jobs, brother man, there are countless of programming jobs in the world, there are jobs everywhere, lemme tell you something, if you are really good in programming, I mean very good, you can apply for numerous jobs today and get employed if you pass their interview process. From what I have even discovered, if you good, na companies go dy beg you to work for them. So, don't say there are no jobs.

And brother nobody can learn c in a month, unless he/she already has a background in other programming languages

In this #EndSARS wahala, I heard from a reputable fellow I follow on twitter that all HNG intern graduates got a job.

Okay, there are no jobs. But how do these 25k per website guys still sell like pure water?

Most of the 25k per website jobs always ends in some sort of scam and when it does it's always an extremely terrible website that you can't even use. How much is a WordPress theme from envato sef where Person go dey sell website for 25k.

Can you look front, left and right at the same time? That's what learning html, css and javascript in parallel feels like for a total beginner. So...

Learn your python jeje. It's easier to transition from C and C++ to javascript than from python to javascript. So, the advice to learn C is not such a bad idea. However python's fine. Python 3 is very easy to learn. Esp if you have the right IDE - download "Mu Code" should make ur life easier.

Also next time you're asking for help, be specific. Even if 100 things are confusing you, ask just one question mention a ultra specific thing ur having issues with.

It can be as little as how to setup the python environment, or how to print to screen or a file.

After that, thank peeps and ask your next question.

You'll get high quality help faster.

Dude there are tech jobs everywhere, the issue is that many developers don't qualify for the jobs due to a lack of skills.
If you know really know your onions you will have a cherry pick of the best tech jobs.

I have gone through so many comments here. And nobody is addressing the fact that the OP wants to go into Blockchain, which I believe he means Blockchain programming. Everyone is shouting html, html is for frontend web development not Blockchain. Python is rarely used for Blockchain either. Dear OP if you want to become a Blockchain programmer, leave whatever you're doing and learn Rust or JavaScript. I will strongly advise you to learn Rust. You don't need html, C/C++ or Python in Blockchain programming. You can email me let's talk better.
