Which part of Lagos? Cos the one I bought on Saturday is #100 each of smaller/medium size.

Lol.. it's getting tougher and tougher. I haven't bought recently cos I actually stocked up a little the last time I went to buy. Though it shouldn't be that bad.

How will the common man survive in a country like this? The prices of goods are increasing in a geometric sequence, while value of our currency is diminishing every day. I just hope Nigeria will be great again

Good for you. This what happens when hoodlums disturbs the peace. What you have there is the extra (gyara) we are given for buying N100. worth onions in our area in the far North.

In my area for now. Don't know what it will be like the next time I go.

Waaaat? 700 for tin tomatoes? Crazy!
Well.. a sachet now sells for 150. So I'm not really shocked. Still, errrmm.. huh! This just crazy. I wanna believe it's because of the ongoing crises stemmed from the protest. many traders can't go to the market now especially as I heard this early morning that Mile12 market was under fire with hoodlums shooting and looting stores and shops. So, traders are making do with the little they had before the whole brouhaha.

Hopefully by next week or before Xmas, things will have return back to normal. Otherwise, no stew for Christmas. Peppersoup all the way. grin

The excuse they all give is "no goods are coming in, the protests, bla blah". A bag of sachet water is N200 - N250 now, some sellers are just being opportunistic.
Lol, stew for Xmas? If I were you I would worry first about the price of rice this december, hopefully the looted palliative rice hits the market and forces the current prices down. Lol, a highly optimistic outlook if you allow for the usual hike which often precedes Xmas and New year.

Yeah, Nigerians have that habit of taking undue advantage of situations. So many opportunists.

It is well with my country.
