May I first say am not a fan of Wike despite sometimes he makes sense and on the other hand I don't believe in IPOB though their struggle sometimes also makes sense..

It is fair to say that WIKE is just been silly fighting an ideology which I think is overhyping his influence.. This is not PDP Vs APC, this is an ideology has been even when Wike was still wearing napkin. In igboland , some are for ipob some are against but one thing is certain ,all Igbo believe in the struggle of fairness in Nigeria settings and therefore will always sympathize with IPOB in sometimes . .

Buhari banned IPOB and majority of Igbos rejected it so WIKE banning IPOB will be met with same response. Politically it doesn't go well with any party in Rivers without Igbos , the truth is that the identity of even non Igbos of rivers are related to that of Igbos that's why the North refers to all of them as Igbos..


Wike is playing a dangerous game which will be seized by his rivals , even APC in Rivers will capitalize on it .. The wise move Wike could have make is to simply deal with those individuals personally not attaching it to IPOB and Igbos ..


Proscribing in Rivers is simply nonsense as it has already been proscribed in the federal side yet IPOB still does their activity, it will still remain same even after Wike leaves office..

Another hard question is why WIKE doesn't also proscribe Fulani herdsmen who are real killers , he doesn't want to come across as offensive to the North I think .


In conclusion , Wike is simply playing politics which doesn't make sense ,same politics he wanted to play by banning the protest but the youth resisted ... He simply wants to curry favour with the North ahead of 2023 election ...

Wike is laughable. He is signing executive order banning IPOB but he has no control over the Army and little or no control over the Nigerian Police. With what is he going to use to enforce the ban? His bare hands? If Buhari who has overall command of the armed forces could not stop IPOB by proscribing them, is it Wike who has no command of any armed force in Rivers that can stop IPOB?

Like I said ,it's all politics... Wike is planning something big in 2023 so trying to build a secret alliance with the North...
