So, what is C?

why are you so ignorant, why can't you just Google it, do guys have Virginas, or when lesbians have sex do they need to penetrate, or those gays, do they also have hymen. Anything sex voids one's virginity, and avoiding all those things years after years despite all the temptations means the guy or girl is disciplined, have self control and good moral. Being a virgin alone makes you have like 5 good character you just need to have a little more to be a perfect husband for your wife or a perfect wife.

how would you know if your wife is a virgin

i dont want essay, just one sentence.

Virginity is valuable to me as a man. So don't speak on behalf of MEN. Speak for yourself.
value is different from worth.

Character has it any day any time but virginity is just an additional virtue. These days, men conventionally pursue ladies with good character cause it's a trait that suits marriage more than virginity. Once u married and deflower her, her virginity is gone forever but her character is there forever!

Be wise...

If there's anything I've learnt so far from all the discussions about virginity and so on... Is that people would do anything to feel good about themselves or justify their actions. And this is mostly the case with or without a Law Giver(Religion or God).

Most people validate their actions through other people's guilt and misfortune, not because they want to please God.

I don't understand why what people choose to do or not do with their sexually organs is such a big issue. It's not like it's ever mentioned amongst the credentials of great men and women. E.g "Margaret Thatcher was a great leader who did so and so... She also didn't get some dick until she got married" WTF grin

obviously most will chose the virgin but this is an oversimplification of a very complicated matter. The implication of this post is that non-virgins are bad and undisciplined. I don’t agree with this. Just because a girl has lost her virginity does not mean she sleeps around.

Imagine a girl who has had one or two long term and serious relationships (probably that she thought will lead to marriage) and along the line she slept with the guy(s) she was dating. That’s very different from a girl who has casual sex with every guy that comes her way.

Well everyone has the right to their own option, it’s a free society, but to me, while I will definitely respect a lady who kept her virginity till marriage it carries one of the lowest marks on my scorecard of what makes a good wife overall.
You're right, being a virgin doesn't equate to making a good wife material.

But like I asked :

"But who would you choose if given a choice between two women both with good characters, one being a virgin and the other not a virgin?"

Some are not virgin, ugly and ill mannerred while some are virgins, beautiful awith good manner. There fore virginity gives a man as sense of fulfilment in marriage.

What are you saying this guy?

Social intelligent people knows how to interact with virtually anybody, how to handle toxic people and just how to know thyself. Please type “social intelligence on Wikipedia”

Good character comes as a result of social intellect, having high self esteem about thyself and knowing how to judge people correctly during interactions.
I don't see how common sense and street smartness got to really do with high moral standards for the most part. I don't see how your response contradicts anything in my statement but it's OK, no need to take this further.
Everyone is socially intelligent based on the settings and environment in which they grew up and their experiences in life.
Every man to his opinion. grin

anything can be valuable,as value systems differ from one person to another but not everything has worth.I don't value wrist watches and would not be caught dead wearing one,but they do have worth.Worth is determined by the caliber/strength/number of people who "value" that thing. As I said earlier, virginity is worthless to men,at least here in Nigeria. By The way i don't think valuable is a direct synonym of worth

I totally disagree with your perspective,I interviewed a promiscus teenage girl of 17 yrs and she told me things that are truly shocking, even to an unshockable fellow like me,she said her problems started after she lost her virginity last year, since that she simply cannot control her body, having sex 3-5 times a week is just management, she was crying and was telling me men that are currently fvcking her now and I was speechless, all the boys and married men in my area are actively fvcking the girl,,mind you the girl is still in secondary school but her confessions is truly incredible,I asked her what if a friend of mine married her as a virgin and will be rejoicing what will be his fate, she looked me in the eyes and said that she cannot control herself not to fvck everybody from the gate man to me,if I am interested, marrying a virgin is not an assurance of good behavior, you can break the virginity and hell will be let loose.

Only if you read my first reply to you very well.

You are singular. You are not all men. Read it 30 times.

Just say you don't value it. Don't drag all men into your choice. That's the initial point I made.

There is a difference between a virgin who abstained from sex till marriage and a virgin who lost her virginity to boyfriend.

You claimed her 'problems' started after losing her virginity. That's not the main point. The main point is that her problems started after she tasted premarital sex.

Loool, the hypocrisy on this thread.

No matter how much you guys want to devalue virginity, it is still the best. Virtginity is just an addendum blablabla na una sabi.

Do what you want to do with your bodies and leave the virgins alone na.

And to think this thread is in the religion section, God expects his children to remain pure till marriage except those that lost theirs though circumstances beyond their control ( rape, peodphila etc) shikena

How people they to twist the word of God amazes me.

There is a reason why Mary had to be a virgin.

Abegi if you are a virgin continue keeping yourself and if you want to stop premarital sex you can still stop.

I think the right word here is chastity not virginity if we want to discuss from a Christian perspective..

One can be a virgin and immoral at the same time..A non virgin can be chaste and has high morals than a virgin..

In marriage, choose character above ALL OTHER THINGS..for your happiness and peace of mind..

It takes experience to understand this..

Wait.....let’s be real.... for once, let’s forget the picture Hollywood and pornn has fed this generation with, including religion or whateva...

Am I supposed to be happy the woman I’m going to marry has been drilled by 10 other men with a couple of abortions to match....??
There’s nothing nice about it.
...so I don’t get why you people try to paint the picture that there’s nothing wrong with not having bodily discipline.

That picture is a hollywood script...walk into a bar or club ... have sex with random strangers spontaneously ( have u noticed Hollywood acts movies like condoms don’t exist, arbortion don’t exist, like sex is always magical and everything is cool after wards)

over the years people have just come to overlook these things...largely becos u can’t even get 1 virgin out of 100 girls anymore... so the available has become the desired.....that doesn’t mean we should now make chastity an old school thing.

Sex is not food...this our generation treats sex like they need it for breathing...

Interesting how the virginity vs character debate is always about girls.
It's almost like men are excluded from being virgins themselves but have strong opinions about marrying one. undecided
