Recall that the Lagos State Police Command had
vowed to resist any form of protest in the
state.

Although the right to peaceful gathering and
association is enshrined in Nigeria’s
constitution, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Lagos
Police spokesperson, in a statement on Friday
said it will not allow any form of gathering,
procession or assembly to hold in the state.

The Nigerian Government through the Central
Bank of Nigeria earlier in the week obtained a
court order to freeze the bank accounts of some
EndSARS participants and promoters, sparking
outrage among citizens.

This is a good development. We can't allow another form of looting and lawlessness under the guise of #endsars. Any Nigerian that actually has the interest of the masses at heart will never plan of any protest for now. It's Crystal clear that hoodlums and criminals have hijacked the protests and it would be counterproductive for anyone to take to the streets again

It seems many people are not that intelligent in this Nigeria.

Or maybe I am living in the 19th century because the last time I heard SARS was already disbanded.

If you’re trying to lead a new wave of protest then name it something that suit the motive instead of EndSARS coz it just sound stupid.

SARS was ended, now they brought SWAT. If you campaign to end SWAT again, the will bring FBI.

What does that tells you?

It tells you that the source of the problem is the police itself. In as much as their is no total police reform or some sort of structural changes, then any special force the police bring out will turn out to be another SARS.

We should rather start protesting for full State police with a clearly defined parameters instead of all this clout chasing called End SARS by celebrities.

What do you expect from a dictator regime disguised as an elected government.

They keep chasing shadows approaching the issues exactly the same way thereby making the same mistake over again and expect things to remain the same not knowing that the people are getting more organized.

You can't approach an already tense and disenfranchised population with more force, the people can only take much before everything begins to disintegrate and I pray the Military doesn't come in if things deteriorate because na so e take dey start.

God bless Nigeria.

Lies!

They are no match for the govt. In one swoop the govt will finish them all. Is it because the govt was lenient the first time just so people don't start saying they are infringing upon the rights of the citizens? See how the stupid touts took over and everything went out of control. Let them try it again.
