Karlifate:
It is this junior officers (in rank) that are suffering, their bosses (senior in rank) are building houses & buying exotic cars.

There is even one that has different types of Toyota Hilux with that SPY plate number.

They should better speak up & fight for their right, though it will be a tough fight BUT it will help in the so called police reform.

The more reason they are criminally minded to extortion.

There's particular officer that drives a venza within Apapa axis every morning.

Something played out last week and it was like one of the soldiers drafted to maintain peace ordered a truck to go move into the port l , a police officer said no the truck should not move just because the soldier refuse to buying into their system of palm greasing .

As a time goes on they will surely corrupt those soldiers

Before the protest , Police no dey reley on thier salary , becos of money where them dey collect from citizens as bribe. The protest cause alot of trouble for them, even bribe them no fit collect again oooo.
This is the reason why they are reluctant to go back to their duty beats. The citizens are now bolder and wiser.
I don't believe increase in salary will stop police extortion.

And that doesn't make sense. What should they be eating for eight months? It's an insane culture.

I don't think they know their appointment had been nullified by court order, PCS (police service commission) took police to court with charges that the igp did their recruitment and even the just concluded one for this yr, without carrying them along, so court had cancelled their appointment even the recruitments of this year's,I gues that's why they are not being paid all along, and may not be paid, that court nullified their recruitments isn't a news.
