Receiving the award on his behalf, Comrade Adewale thanked the organisers of the program for the award to Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande.

He eulogised the former Governor for the giant stride recorded during his administration as the Governor of Lagos State.

He noted that having also been a beneficiary of the free education program and enjoyed the infrastructural facilities established by Alhaji Jakande as a primary school pupil, secondary and university student he witnessed first hand the benefits of the program and implemented the same program at Amuwo Odofin Local Government as Executive Chairman from Oct. 31st 2008 - Oct 31st 2014.

Comrade Ayodele asserted that the legacies of Alhaji Jakande can never be erased from the history of Nigeria and his achievements still remain ingrained and utilized all over the State.

He urged the students to emulate the graduates of the school by respecting their teachers and focusing on their studies as a route to future success.

Taking a cue from the words of another former Governor of Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Comrade Ayodele enjoined the old students who are within the youth bracket to position themselves for leadership as the time and environment is ripe for them to hold various positions in the country.

Another notable participant at the event, Comrade Wale Okunniyi an indomitable political activist of significant repute in Nigeria and the Public Relations Officer of the defunct Pro-National Conference Organisation (PRONACO), praised Alhaji Kayode Jakande for putting in place a successful template which has stood the test of time and opened opportunities for further development within the state

He also averred that Alhaji Jakande would be establishing a closer relationship with the Satellite Secondary School which would be communicated in writing to the management of the school very soon. The man really did good things in Lagos State. May God bless him and his generations. His type are really scarce and rare in the present day political atmosphere in a kwontiri I know.

I'm going back to my good Togo sooner than later.
