This project and 4MB are the only project of significance that any governor who wants to be remembered should do. This particular project has become an eyesore. Too long.

Not enough pictures shows that they are lying and hiding the poor job done.

Right now the so called rail project hasn't been worked on in marina since 2017. Something they initially promised in 2011 and said they would finish this year.

Ambode should be stoned for abandoning a project this important in easing traffic in lagos state. What stopped him from giving it require attention while he went about doing his own projects? There was no chance he'd been able to finish those projects, to start with, so why not complete the work of the previous administration?
Fashola is in the good book of the state today because he put every project he met unfinished in his focus and was able to deliver mega project of his own.
Like someone upthere rightly put, this project and the 4th Mainland Bridge alongside the just-started Lekki Deep Seaport would bloat the CV of any governor who successfully delivers them.

Lies upon lies! This is what they've spent 87 billion on. Even in the next 10years, this project will still be crawling. The problem of lagos is known to all. Just a transport system, they cannot deliver. Its all excuses and fraud. If akwa ibom can launch an airline and yet lagos is still crawling despite its huge IGR, then I wonder if there's another definition for witchcraft. Is this how you would govern yourselves in the advent of regional administration?

Lekki deep sea port, free trade zone etc are not just started, they've been abandoned for very long time.
It is Godfatherism that is killing Lagos. Had it been the voters in Lagos had sense they'll go against godfatherism.
Lagos state is messy. Forget about roads and island. Too many below standard houses with exorbitant prices. But foolish leaders dont care about the common man.
Our foolish people are only after praising top thief's . by 2023 you might need to make apology for sanwo olus incompetency and blame it on covid-19 and endsars . undecided

SweetJoystick:
How many years e go take them to complete?

A MEMO TO OUR ABLE GOVERNOR SANW-OLU :
Actually, most of the States and Federal Govt are in same categories of not attaching seriousness to Roads and Rails Project in Nigeria! Just imagine the Sagamu-Ikorodu Road-where most of Oil-Tankers from the North,East and South- South plies everyday to Mosimi-Oil -Depot- has been on a SNAIL repairs over 2years now! This road is a death-trap!
In fact what is the level of funding committed so far that this Lagos-ALL IMPORTANT- Light-Rail has not reached Obalende-end by now! People are suffering on daily basis on the issues of road- transportation because of the high population density!
During the Ambode's regime, the gas-line underneath was already taken care of, as you go towards the Carter-Bridge,towards Marina. So why is it now taken over 12- years to complete a rail from Mile 2 to Marina, for God's sake, are we serious at all and how many Budgets are we preparing yearly to complete this Bridge?
Sir,by comparison, how fast will the 4th Mainland Bridge be completed,Ceteris Paribus(all things being equal)!
Must we play Politics with everything in Nigeria? Remember that Alhaji Jakande spent 4 and half years in the State and was the first to develop this Light- Rail Project-Model- until it was cancelled by the Buhari led Military junta then.
The Lagos State Govt should prioritise that future development of Lagos State is development of Light -Rail-Project in ALL Lagos Metropolis to ease heavy-road Traffic-as done in London,New York,Tokyo and other developed Countries. Those in government knows and should face it head-on!
Most of the roads in Lagos are already occupied and daily jam-packed and as a matter of URGENCY,the 4th- Mainland Bridge from Lekki- to- Ikorodu Must accommodate side-by side-Light -Rail- Construction for future growth, otherwise we are walking in circle!
Oga Sanw-Olu,just do this and be remembered for life.My Governor, you may have to adopt unusual methods on this transportation issues by going outside your schedule time to move faster and earn your name in the history book!
That is the only way to grow Lagos and make it more attractive to the Outside World and make Lagos the most Excellent State in Nigeria and Center Of Excellence!
God bless Lagos State.

No, USA.

USA and Europe will give you loans and help your politicians to keep the loans in their private offshore accounts.

China will not give you money, but ask you to bring your part funding, add theirs and build the infrastructure.

How much dem dey owe?
I don't understand why debt management are the one's inspecting? Who go explain bayii
The debt mgt office is that of Lagos State.
The state wants to raise another debt(bond), so the Security Exchange Commission would be required to approve, in order to approve, previous bond raised need to be confirmed that it was adequately and appropriately utilised, so the state sent its debt MGT team to go prepare the ground for SEC visit/inspection
