Nigeria Heading For Famine Due To Boko Haram Killings — Kaduna Farmers by lalasticlala(m): 11:28am On Nov 30, 2020
Following the brutal killings of over 43 farmers in Borno State by suspected members of Boko Haram, Kaduna farmers on Monday, expressed fears over looming famine in the country.

They lamented that the number of farmers massacred in the attack could be more than 43, as many persons were still missing.

In an interview on Monday, a rice farmer in Kajuru LGA, Mr. Yunusa Abdullah expressed fears that since no state is safe because of insecurity, many farmers are afraid to go to their farm land to harvest crops.

According to him, some farmers in his area were killed recently while attending to their farms.

Also speaking to DAILYPOST, a farmer along Zaria-Kaduna Expressway, Alhaji Budawaya Atachihankeli expressed worries over the increased number of armed bandits terrorising innocent farmers.

According to him, “the peasant farmers are the targets of these kidnappers, but they have forgotten that it’s the farmers that produce rice, beans, corn, yam they eat.”

He wondered why gunmen are after the lives of farmers who produce food stuff they eat.

His words: “as farmers, we don’t have any backup like the salary earners. When we plant, we pray for rain. We pray for good harvest, we pray so that no bush animal comes around to eat our farm products. Yet, we are in fear of Boko Haram, gunmen coming to slaughter us during harvest. What have we done to deserve all these?

“We may be facing a severe food security crisis due to the destructive activities of bandits who are not only destroying farms but also killing farmers.”

After going through the comments of some northerners in BBC hausa, my brother I will say I’m really shocked that majority of them are still supporting Buhari even going to the extent of accusing some set of people trying to destabilize Buhari government. Thank God we the southerners don’t have time for such bullshit we value life.

I still wonder why some media outlet are still saying only 43 people were killed.
I mean it is obvious that the Nigerian govt loves playing politics with everything.
I will not be surprised if Lie Mohammed cones out to say it only 2 people that were killed

Another fake news from enemies of Nigeria, you all will fail!

How can Boko Haram kill 111 farmers at once and the farmers didn't fight back and kill some Boko Haram members in retaliation

They claim 111 farmers were killed by Boko Haram, we ask them to provide videos. Where are the family members of these farmers Why are they not protesting all over Borno right now

What concerns Boko Haram with rice farmers

When Boko Haram still operated in Borno, that was like around 2014, they were in very good terms with farmers because farmers fed them, so how can they turn around to massacre farmers, of what gain

We all must be careful with all these fake news to tarnish the good image of President Buhari, all because he decided to fight all the corrupt elements in Nigeria.

I repeat, fake news!!

Nobody was attacked in Borno!

If you go to Borno now, everybody is happy going about their daily activities without fear.....if you doubt me, make a visit to Borno and you will understand that all these are fake news!!

Nonsense, we are experiencing an unprecedented level of food security and prosperity thanks to Buhari's vigilant and vigorous prosecution of his duties and the able service chiefs.

I don't know about the jealous and bitter southerners but the North is really enjoying under this Buhari administration.

Mm.. May God Almighty forgive us and have mercy on Nigerians.. See what moral decadence, prostitution, fraud, civil disobedience and treason have caused Nigeria.. By the time God Almighty is done punishing Nigeria, we will think twice before going against His commandments..

May God help and heal Nigeria.

It is not we go into a famine and statistically impossible for us to go into famine , Nigeria is one of the least countries to go into famine . We are on the equator , the tropicals ,in west Africa, we are literally the richest on natural terms and food resources,
