In what would be described as an unexpected turnaround of the way. The Federal Government of Nigeria is said to be going to court to challenge the legality of the judicial set up by state governments on the instructions of the Federal Government.

It is worth of note that the army has pledge to challenge the outcome of these panels if any of it's men or officials are implicated. It makes the whole exercise seems like a child's play even when still ongoing.

it's common knowledge that those panels are toothless and a political card played by the government to stop the protest
