Insecurity: FCPN Pushing For Adoption of Zulum's Solution As a National Strategy

The Foundation for Civilian Peace in Nigeria (FCPN) has intensified efforts to ensure the nation adopt Governor Babagana Zulum's approach of civilian engagement into the overall security management as a national strategy for sustainable.

The Foundation for Civilian Peace in Nigeria, a nongovernmental organization working security experts towards securing the nation believe that getting citizens involve in the holistic strategy towards tackling Insecurity challenges across the country is the panacea for sustainable peace and tranquility.

The Foundation approach is inline with what Governor Zulum has been suggesting since inception of his administration to flushout insurgents in Borno state and other part of Northeast. To Zulum, Nigeria can only win the battle when the citizens are integral part of government moves to protect their lives and properties.

Recall that Governor Zulum few days ago paid three months outstanding allowances and donated N180 million and 27,000 bags of grains to the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) assisting the military in the fight against insurgency. He also announced N50,000 welfare package for widows and scholarship for orphans of CJTF who lost their lives since 2013 in the fight against insurgency.

Zulum's approach is the clear demonstration of what Foundation for Civilian Peace in Nigeria will bring up for National Discourse at its official launching on December 8, 2020 at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja. The Secretary to Government of the Federation, State governors, representatives of United Nations and other international organizations as well as security/alternative security experts will gather to discuss national security issues as the foundation move to the field to promote dialogue, peace building, crisis prevention/management and civil-military engagement across the country.

No doubt, the passionate and caring governor will glad to part of this occasion to share his knowledge, especially the firsthand information about security situation in Borno state.
