my dvd rom is locked to region 1 (usa and canada) the rom is fine and working but does not play dvd's or cd's, how do i get it to work, anyone with that sort of roblem on nairaland, i am trying to get a dvd free region crack to see if i can bypass this roblem, any help or suggestions, by the way i use a dell d600 with a dvd-cdrw from the u.s |

@randa If your dvdrom is locked to region 1, it should not affect CD-ROM playback. If CDs do not play, you have a different problem altogether. Also, even if your dvdrom is regionlocked, using a program like VLC will enable you play dvds of any region. You can also use dvd decrypter to dump them to your hard drive. |
