Apart from this, another major reason why Nigeria lacks development is the mentality of "I have arrived..."

Nigerians are more concerned with looking/appearing more comfortable than the next person, and once that happens, there's this feeling of satisfaction.

As long as they are not suffering or doing too bad, then Nigeria is not as bad as others make it seem. This in turn translates into a lackadaisical attitude towards development.
