A contract staff was queried on marketing report without prior notice/warning (they are to followup customers and prospects everyday and write a report on the outcome). he was accused of putting in some ficticious names and information. He was found guilty by disciplinary panel and dismissed on grounds of falsification of information, deliberately misleading panel and doubtful integrity.

note: its not a fraud case or money issue. The victim was witchhunted.

Most companies do background checks from your previous employers and if they found out that you played a smart one at your former job, it is a no no because it is an "INTEGRITY" issue.

Include the job experience, if asked your reason for leaving the job,tell them the truth. It's better for them to know through you than to find out lateron after you've been offered the job.

This why you should NEVER inform your colleagues of your next workplace. You never know the ones that hate you secretly. Tell them after like 3 months when you have settled in and no amount of slander can convince your current employers otherwise.

If you think they might call your previous places of work for more info about you, I won't advise you include the place you were sacked especially if the reason you were sacked left you and the previous employer in a bitter relationship. He might decide to tarnish your image with the intending employer.
