More Traditional Rulers, Communities Beg Igboho For Support Following the successful liberation of Igangan town, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, from criminal attacks by Fulani herdsmen, some traditional rulers and communities in the South West have appealed to popular Yoruba freedom fighter, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, to come and replicate what he did in Igangan in their domains, Daily Independent has gathered. Violence had erupted in Igangan, Ibarapa, on Friday when Igboho, alongside his followers, stormed the Fulani settlement in the ancient town to eject Seriki Fulani, Salihu Abdukadir, and herdsmen accused of perpetrating crimes ranging from kidnappings, killings, rape to invasion of farmlands with their cattle. An aide of Igboho who spoke with our correspondent on Monday said the activist had received several calls while others had sent letters to him to come to their aid and also liberate them from the activities of the herdsmen. According to him, many local government officials in states like Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, Ogun, as well as Kwara who had been having a tough time with herdsmen in their domains, are making passionate appeals to Igboho and his team to come and flush out killer herdsmen in their midst so that they can experience peace which, they said, had eluded them in years. “He (Igboho) has been receiving several emissaries, calls and letters from victims of the attacks of these herdsmen from all the South West states, even as far as Patigi, in Kwara state. “I can authoritatively tell you that some government officials are also seeking his assistance even though they can’t come out publicly to say so. “They also want their communities to be liberated from these killer herdsmen and bandits just as it happened in Igangan. “He (Igboho) has assured them that they had suffered enough and would soon get justice.” https://www.independent.ng/akeredolu-backs-down-reaches-consensus-with-miyetti-allah/ 4 Likes 1 Share

They should let Fulani herdsmen enjoy their new home in peace. Ekiti governor said it is their home. Home sweet home. 6 Likes |

It won't be surprising that some rural areas in the South West are under occupation by the herdsmen. That the affected people have to resort into seeking succor from a private citizen shows how much the issue has degenerated. Sunday should watch his backs. There are traitors within. 5 Likes |

I'm glad the awakening is already occurring across the Southern sphere. The evil agenda of the fulanis have already place a bounty on her unborn generations to come. The future fulanis will find opportunities hard to come by... they'll suffer the sins of their evil fathers. 2 Likes |

It seems everybody has become weakling. My grandma told me that when she was a maiden, if anybody or anything (including wild animal) kill any human being in their community, people would trace it. If they couldn't revenge the death immediately, they will never forget. No matter how long it took, somebody must pay. Now you see some lanky people terrorising a community because they have guns. Igboho in the west,ESN in the east. Their people love them but the Fulani hate them. Why? Because they are spoiling plans for them to fulanize the country. If u get cow, go rear am for ur own land. Stop using person farm produce feed ur cattle. 1 Like |

Igboho should not go anywhere else. The state governors now need to step in. Shame on them if they cannot. |
