he was caught with election materials that he cannot explain where he got it from so Nairalanders i humbly ask what do you think should be his punishment should we try him for treason, jail him, castrate him or just applaud him and ask him to sin no more?

Nothing!! We paid over $500 million dollars to get credible and fair election --- that is about the highest in the world. Do I blame the man for the poor job that INEC has done with securing what we requested and paid all that was necessary for? No! undecided undecided undecided

INEC is at fault . . . . it has been allowed to work as an independent institution -- given all it asked so it could -- and we still have this?

Beat the hell out of the REC of his state and the man himself should be given some punishment to deter others from such.

He needs a lawyer.  Doesn't even have to be a good one.

From the fear and confusion in his eyes, I'm guessing he was set up, then drugged, hence suffering the bout of temporary amnesia.  It's a good thing the poor youth wasn't killed.  Lets just give praise.  cry

$500m or not, there is no fool-proof system, at the end of the day as long as there are criminals there will always be a way to beat the system.
The gentleman should be employed by INEC, "poacher turned gamekeeper"
