While we understand gender and sex to be synonyms. Because for +97% of the world your gender and sex is the same.

Some groups have chosen to split the meanings, gender meaning physical expression and sex meaning biological sex.
So someone can be called a woman (because they dress and act and identify as one) who is male with full male equipment...
Unnecessarily causing confusion because of the small minority of people who suffer from gender dysphoria.

Nah, the non-binary people don't want to be called a man or woman they want to stay ambiguous.

It's the gender fluid people that will tell you they are a man in the morning and a woman in the evening and to be changing what you call them. These people are the part of the lgbt.. group that I don't extended a fraction of empathy to. I see them as confused attention seekers, or people suffering from a deeper mental illness than just gender dysphoria.

I could personally make an argument for the possible biological origins of Trans people and the gender dysphoria, so I have some empathy for those people.

But my preception of Trans people is sort of similar to people who are born with six fingers instead of five. They are humans who should be respected, but they are a small fraction of the population and we shouldn't be changing our society and normal understanding of gender and sex for them, the same way we didn't change biology textbooks and human anatomy to be "humans have six fingers or five" because we understand that it's just a normal mutation that can occur in nature, but it's never the norm.
