A Nigerian Catholic Missionary priest, Rev. Fr. Kelvin Ugwu has condemned the viral TikTok’s Silhouette Challenge which he described as “immoral, pornographic” and those partaking in it “porn stars in the making”.

The cleric took to his Facebook page on Thursday, January 29, to write about how the world is obsessed with sex and women’s unclothedness.

Fr. Kelvin bemoaned the fact that everything from products to music, movies won’t sell unless pictures and videos of naked women are attached to them.

His Facebook post reads ;

Porn In Silhouette

We know this. Let us not pretend that it is new. The world is obsessed with unclothedness especially women’s unclothedness. The world is obsessed with sex.

Over and over, women’s bodies have been objectified. Women themselves helped to make this possible.

To sell roofing sheets, you need a naked woman in the advert. Don’t ask what is the connection. . . The roofing sheet itself is naked.

When it comes to music, our generation seemed to have taken the objectification of women’s bodies to another level.

We sing and dance to songs whose lyrics are all about certain parts of the woman’s body and how she can be used only as an object of bedroom satisfaction.

It doesn’t matter if the artist is male or female. In fact, check out the lyrics of most female artists, it is usually about how men should spend money on them if they want to have their “backs” on the ground. They call it “money for hand, back for ground.”

And so, while a man wearing three piece suit or agbada is defined as sexy, the women with him in the same musical video will have to put on what they call g-strings with bra displaying her cleavages to be sexy.

I find it rather amusing and also nauseating how one man will be usually crowded with dozens of half naked girls, each twerking while the man watches as though measuring which of the naked bodies before him is worth his money.

This is why on the average, a girl of this era will most likely think about her hips or breasts size more than her bank or investment size. And even if she thinks about her bank size, it is often on how it will be used to enhance her hips size through the use of silicone.

Every picture taken, every status update, there is a need to show off the body. And when ladies make videos of themselves, try and listen to their fellow ladies behind the camera asking them to “turn around and show what you have got” or “kill them with hotness.”

It is like a competition. Who is having more curves? Whose back is bigger? Whose waist is tinier? Is her stomach flat? Who twerks better? Can you show us what your mama gave you?

Another name for it is marketing. That is where the phrase “show your selling point” emerged from.

This is why I am not surprised at the silhouette challenge going viral. Most will tell you it is for fun or a way of feeling good in one’s body. . .bla bla bla. . . Well, mark this, time is coming when the red lights will be removed, and it will be justified as well. Don’t worry, just be patient. After all, Adam and Eve were created without clothes.

Shey dey are mocking their fellow girl who felt disgusted about the whole trend and made a video condemning it? They are laughing at her because she pronounced Sodom and Gomorrah as “Soduim and Gomorrah”. They said she is a village girl, she does not know what’s up. And the men are angry because she is putting “sand” on top their cheap porn. There are men as well who have joined the challenge. Everybody wants to trend.

Well, I am here to remind you that as far as Christian morals are concerned, that challenge is immoral. I am saying this because the majority of those carrying this on their heads are Christians who will be at the front seats on Sunday for praise and worship.

It does not matter which angle you want to look at it. Yes, we all know it is your body. But it is important we remind you that what you are serving is pornography presented as silhouette. You are a porn star in the making. You will soon blow. Mtchwww.

These men masturbate to the challenge, abeg. I don't use social media, only Nairaland and Whatsapp. I haven't seen that many of the videos to make me go out of my way and pen an article regarding it.

how then did you come into this world, if not sex?

Listen to my candid opinion on this issue of sex.

let us apply the Pareto principle here, it says that 80% of sex is done by 20% of the people.

while the rest just masturbate and watch pornography.

We have 90% virgin boys than girls

it is the 10% bad boys that does all the sex stuff, they do the real thing, while other boys satisfy themselves watching porn and visiting brothels.

It is the fear fear men that are obsessed over sex or the noveau Rich who wants to impress girls

True! you try to download a movie, you get redirected to a porn site!

In school, you see girls displaying clavage up and down, and when asked, they say freedom of dressing! Why aren't men displaying their balls up and down?!!!!

If the white man Prioritized sex @ the beginning, we wouldn't have been enjoying the internet and every other development we enjoy today.

life isn't all about sex. for God sake we aren't Animals!!

But what do I know?!!

Be careful how you call for the anger of God. Stop speculating what you don't know. Problem with your type is that you celebrate sin and believe everyone should celebrate with you.

There are two things involved in SINS.

- TO SIN
- TO CELEBRATE SIN.

Bible called all of us sinners. Nobody is perfect. This include the people of high regard before God in bible. But what happens to our conscience when we find ourselves falling? How do we comfortably eulogise sin? How do we celebrate sin?

Funny enough, the worldly perversions we see are targeted at destroying our families. The devil has programmed all these to destroy families, the very first institution that defines our society.

How many of you come online to threaten fire and brimstone when your wives or husband's cheats. How you come to condemn rape. How you come to condemn family domestic violence. How you condemn occultism. How you would not want to be robbed. How you would not want your daughter to be the next olosho.

Do you know that all these are interconnected? Do you know that all those online pornography can lead to unfaithfulness? What if I tell you it can lead to robbery? You would say am crazy right? You need to study deep.

Never ever celebrate online nudity. Or any sin that would damage the society. You would be judged one day. Many kids are from broken homes as a result.

God may forgive a sinner but would hardly forgive someone who proudly celebrate sins.

#Oloshochallenge would have been a better name. I wonder what else our ladies think of. That banging body you're exhibiting will depreciate with time. Start making babies and you'd spot the difference. They lack no single viable ideas that would propel them beyond their era as spinsters. Adobe Lightroom is one of the apps that would undo their hidden unclothedness. A word is enough for the wise

silhouette challenge has nothing to do with sex. its the vibration in the air which is that some people are fading out and losing their power and authority and souls. meaning the people in control of the world are fading out. a new era is coming.

my concern is, how did the catholic priest know how to give a detailed explanation about the challenge if he didn't watch it to his satisfaction?
