The leader of Fulani herdsmen and Secretary of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, in Kano State, Zubairu Ibrahim, has disclosed that herdsmen from South West, South East and other parts of the country have indicated interest to relocate to the Kano RUGA settlement.

According to Ibrahim, some of the herdsmen are from states such as Nasarawa, Niger, Enugu, Oyo, among others.

He said that herdsmen from five states of the federation have already relocated to Kano.

“We have some Fulani herdsmen from Kebbi, Zamfara, Kaduna, Sokoto, and Jigawa who are now in Kano,” Ibrahim was quoted by Vanguard.

“The governor has invited anyone willing to stay in the RUGA settlement to come. If they come and they are good people, nothing will stop us from receiving them.

“All they need to do is to follow the rules and regulations of government. They should go for grazing in the afternoon and not at night. Nothing can stop them from coming if they are interested.

“Since the governor of Ondo State has gone to the media to say that they (herdsmen) should vacate the area, instead of staying there they should leave. they should leave so that something bad does not happen to them and their property. They should just vacate the area for their safety.”

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State had recently declared that it was no longer acceptable for herdsmen to move their animals from the North to the South.

Ganduje stated this while calling on the government to restrict the movement of herders and cattle from the North to other part of Nigeria.

Ganduje explained that this would end to the frequent clash between herdsmen and farmers in the country.

Fulani herdsmen are being accused of causing mayhem in different parts of the country leading to quit notices and ultimatums on them to vacate parts of South East and South West.

Governors of the South West and South East have recently announced ban on open grazing and movement of cattle by foot.

This development, hopefully, will be the final event that will convince Fulani leaders to embrace ranching. Ranching is better. It'll put an end to all these avoidable conflicts. At least now, the real criminals - Fulani or non-Fulani - can be easily identified and punished accordingly.

However, the criminalization of the entire Fulani people is evil and should stop. Majority of them are law-abiding. It pains me even more than the Fulanis themselves. So please, my brothers and sisters, let's be guided. Let's condemn those who do evil and praise those who do good. Let's leave their tribe out of it. No one is born a criminal.

God bless us all.

The problem with many Northerners is that we have mistaken them for honest people for far too long. The terrorism and banditry business has exposed them. The worse aspect of it all is that the commoners, who are prone to attacks defend their criminal elite so diligently they feel like stabbing you from Facebook.

U see why d media is a greater reason why Nigeria remains a shambolic contraption. U see d way this writer subtly made herdsmen to have a national origin spread across d country by including Enugu and Oyo State. See d way d writer also avoided giving credit of d eviction to Sunday Igboho and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu but mentioned South East and South West Governors and just mentioned d heroic Akeredolu passively. These Lagos-Ibadan expressway newspapers are complicit in d proliferation of insurgency and criminality in Nigeria. If u are a new comer u will think of canonizing Ganduje a saint

God bless Governor Ganduje for consistently standing for the truth on the RUGA issue. Niger and Gombe States also have massive land and dams that will make RUGA/ranching feasible in their areas.

We the Yoruba should be firm on this eviction and we must immediately have rich people start investing in cattle rearing with Yoruba workers only. When i said we should be firm, i mean we should be mindful not to accommodate and form of foreigners who are coming to seek help for where to live or work in our farms. Those living in the suburbs should always have Ak47 at their disposal, we must force the traditional rulers to advocate for the laws to be passes, farmers must have access to firearms capable of repelling any form of external terrorism.

We should avoid going to sleep at any time because the killer terrorists will come back with force to kill and occupy the land by force. So, be prepared for them not with jass but with guns combined with jazz and trained snippers. Establish high powered forest guards team with communication tech devices.

Don’t let down your guard the war has just started

As a matter of fact. Fulanis should do it fast because all Nigerians can't wait to see you people pack and.go. kano has a lot of forest to accommodate you people.

Fulanis has nothing to offer to the south or west except tears, sorrows and blood.

Go and don't come back. Send your cows down South only when you are coming to sell them. It will be better if you don't even sell to us again.

According to Ibrahim, some of the herdsmen are from states such as Nasarawa, Niger, Enugu, Oyo, among others.
WTF is this dude on about? angry
We as Nigerians know what it means when someone says 'I'm from here'
Ibrahim, you are not from anywhere South of the Niger or Benue
