Fulani residents at Eggua in the Yewa-North Local Government Area of Ogun State have returned to their bases after a mob burnt houses and Kara market in the community. The mob last week took advantage of the visit of Sunday Igboho to the area over killings of farmers by Fulani herdsmen. The mob set ablaze houses belonging to the Eggua Seriki of Fulani and others, as well as the Kara market. One person reportedly lost his life after the violence.

But it was gathered on Monday that the fleeing Fulani herdsmen who are residents of the area were back to their bases. It was gathered the Fulani herdsmen went back to their houses and Kara market after they got assurance from the police in the state of protection of lives and property.

The state Police PRO, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who spoke with our correspondent on phone said, “They didn’t run away, they only escaped.
After our meeting with them we have asked them to go and live their lives normally. They escaped from the mob, but, after security agencies have given them the assurance nothing will happen to them, they all agreed to go back. We are working hand-in-hand with the host community to fish out the criminals among them.”

On how far police have gone in unravelling the killers of Dele Olowoniyi, the farmer in Imeko-Afon area of the state, the PPRO said the command had yet to make any arrest. Olowoniyi was found dead on Sunday in his farm. It was alleged that some Fulani herdsmen, who invaded the village, were responsible. But Oyeyemi said, “We are still investigating. By the time we have a breakthrough in our investigation, we will let the public know.”

They will fish out the 'bad' people from the host communities, but they will never fish out the killers of the farmers, what a shame and a serious show of cowardice undecided

We aren't irresponsible and hostile like you, if we can accommodate over 20 million igbos that ran away from your inviable igboland despite your involvement in every sphere of organised crime and criminality in the south west, who can't we accommodate? Fulani have been in our land for years, if not for their useless myopic president that encouraged criminality.

Indirectly, you are telling us that Fulani have become part and parcel of Yoruba and there is nothing anybody can do about it. You will live with that cancer forever that is the price of cowardice.

The fulani can leave the SE, SS and parts of MB but not SW. They already see the region as a conquered zone. Even 1 million Igboho's may not be able to uproot them because they've become deeply entrenched. Just like what the Fulanis did to the Hausas in the 19th century by intermarrying with them, they are already doing it to Yorubas too and many of them now see themselves as indigenous to the place.

Also, their elite know that with fulani gaining foothold there in the region, their aim of dipping the Koran in the Atlantic has been achieved and they will not just have access to the sea but will now forever have influence there. Dangote probably focused all his investments there for a reason.

By the time we descend on them again, they won't only escape, they'll run away and never come back again.

Rubbish & fulani terrorists.

When Northerners gave you ultimatum to leave their lands the last time, we know how you were crying around on the social media like orphans and your elders with their red caps and walking sticks were begging people as old as their grandchildren like fugitives, what a shame, if not for Osibanjo that rescued you

Fulanis who are being invited by the Buhari regime from all parts of Africa to settle in Nigeria, now there's an ongoing rail line linking Fulani controled towns of Kano, Daura, Dutse to Fulani area of Maradi in Niger Republic, as they have been driven out of Central African republic, the need arable land to settle, raise their animals and farm which is readily available in the SW.
Fulanis are not afraid of Yorubas, the only tribe in Nigeria that Fulanis respect a little are the Igbos as confirmed by Sardauna because they also can be as brutal as the Fulanis if they are confronted frontally.

When Fulani bandits raided Barkin Ladi Plateau state, General Ihejirika gave an order that the perpetrators must be eliminated, which he did and Elrufai released this tweet below in reaction to Ihejirika offensive, this is why they won't make an Igbo man the Chief of Army Staff
