I don't know about pullet size but as for medium size, its #1000 from farm. Retailers sell #1200 to those mai chayi guys while they sell one for #60. ( 60*30 = 1800).

Please, what brand of layer mash are you using? Top feed, vital, hybrid or which one? And how much. I have pullets and am using top-feed though change to vital feed now due to the price of top feed but, they seems not to like vital feed. Am asking for future purpose when they start laying.

Use only Top,vital, animal care & hybrid to get maximum production in layers

Hello, my layers are 2 months into lay and I haven't seen a significant change in the size of the eggs. When should I be expecting bigger size? They consume between 100g-120g daily.

Which feed are you using......Try animal care feed or hybrid feed

I use top feed. People have been recommending animal care but my problem is locating a depot where I can get steady supply. Anybody in Ikorodu should kindly help.

Dear Farmers.
My eggs are small and my birds are 42wks age now. I sell at N800/crate.
Kindly advise which drug to give them to boost the size of the egg production. I am using hybrid feed. the birds are healthy and Okay.

You start giving them finisher from 4weeks not 8weeks.
Continue feeding them finisher and make sure u keep their coop neat...Use wood shavings not saw dust..Also get vitamin & anticoccidia drugs and CRD drug too..Hope this helps.

Good morning gurus! I vaccinated my 3weeks old layer pullets this morning (Gumboro), Immediately after the vaccination, I noticed their feet were cold, Then I decided to introduce heat to the brooder. After about a few minutes, some of them started having twisted neck but recovered after sometime. However one is still in a bad state right now. Please Can someone explain what happened + what should be done.. Thanks.
P. S
I stay in Jos.. Room temperature is about 26°c

Dear friends,
Pls I got POL at 17wk 5days, gave vitamins for two days and then ND+IB, one died the next day, gave antibiotics (Conflox) for 5 days and one died on the third day of Conflox, gave ivermectin the next day after conflox for two days, vitamin for one day and then 3in1. One died this afternoon from stargazing; the head was practically on the floor. I noticed three still have swollen eyes as in their eyes are always closed and loss of appetite and once in a while you hear a horn-like cry from the flock. I'm a new farmer and it's like it's one thing to another. I don't want to lose another one again. Please advise urgently

Thank you but I buried it immediately it died as advised by my vet, he advised I buy oxytet la to inject the three sick birds but because I have vaccinated twice, deformed twice, used antibiotics all within two weeks I'm afraid cos each time I use a vaccine or drug, one dies.

When such happens it means you have some weak/sick birds among your flock. When you vaccinate weak birds the chance of survival is 50/50.Alternatively if you don't follow the administration of those drugs/ vaccines you could run into troubles.

oxytet la is a powerful Antibiotics, i have used it before, 0.5mls per bird, make sure you give them Vitamins after the injection because the injection will make them very weak, but in the morning the will be up.

I wish you all the best brother
