Ten Things INEC Must Do to Conduct Credible, Free and Fair Elections This April:
1. INEC must ensure the polling units are clean.
2. INEC must pay its staff as and when due.
3. INEC must provide adequate security at the polling units.
4. INEC must ensure punctuality of its staff at the polling units.
5. INEC must provide effective and efficient transportation for its staff.
6. INEC staff must not collect any money from any party agents or candidates.
7. INEC must provide toll-free lines to receive calls on issues bordering on the elections.
8. INEC must provide all its staff with all the necessary election materials.
9. INEC must ensure that the law enforcement agents at all polling units are paid promptly for their services irrespective of their rank or status.
10. INEC must ensure that there are no delays in announcing the results of the polls.
