Hello people, I'm considering getting a toyota camry 2008 hybrid but I noticed that the engine is different from that of the normal 2008 camry I know. The hybrids come with; push to start button, a/c vent at the back etc.

I want to know, is the hybrid engine problematic?

Hybrid engine is 2az-fxe Atkinson cycle engine
normal camry is 2az-fe Otto cycle engine

They physically look alike.

The 2az-fxe is not problematic.

I personally like the hybrid. Here are advantages of hybrid over non-hybrid.

Thanks for this question. I heard the issue about it is the battery park. Some don't last up to 1year and the cost of the battery is btw N280k -N350k. Sometimes you can't even see it in Nigeria.
I also noticed that the 2007/08 Toyota Camry Hybrid has better features than the regular 2007/08 Camry but they're cheaper that the regular Camry.

I agree, push start, noiseless on start, rear ventilation. That push start especially really impresses me. Then the fuel mileage, that's the real cherry on top.

A friend got one, he's currently trying to sell after less than 2 years of use. Battery pack issue.

If I was living in Lagos, I won't worry much to use this car but I'm not.

No be to buy car be problem, no for maintenance na there work dey!
