Coordinator of the Kwara State chapter of
Miyetti Allah Association of Cattle Breeders,
Aliyu Mohammed, has said that the blockage
of cattle and foodstuffs to the South West
through Kwara State will continue until the
safety of Fulani is guaranteed in the region.
Speaking to DAILY POST shortly after a
crucial meeting of the association in Ilorin
on Sunday, Mohammed, said the action is a
warning shot to ensure a peaceful
operation of businesses by the Fulani and to
end the harassment of the tribe in the
south.
He debunked allegations levelled against the
Fulani, claiming that not all of them were
criminals, adding “Just as you have in any
society where there are good and bad
people.”
Mohammed insisted that “It is not only
Fulanis that commit crimes in the country,
but it was sad that everything happening
now is heaped on Fulani herdsmen.”
The coordinator said the association was
ready to fish out the bad eggs in their midst.
According to him, “We have concluded at
our meeting today that anybody who comes
to Kwara State claiming to be Fulani herder
under questionable circumstances, will be
reported to the security agencies for
necessary action.
“Our vigilantes will monitor the bush and
the forests where there are no security
agencies and report suspected cattle
rustlers who disguise as cattle herders to
perpetrate crimes,” he added.
Mohammed appealed to the Federal
government to arrest Sunday Igboho, who
evicted the Fulani from Igangan in Ibarapa
Local Government Area of Oyo State, for the
alleged destruction of their properties and
killing of their people.
He, however, commended Governor
Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his
statesmanship in accommodating and
cooperating to ensure the safe landing of
Fulanis in the state.

if only they gathered their Fulani herdsmen and told them not to enter peoples farms with their cattle so as not to destroy the crops

there are alot of ways and there was enough time for them to have acted, look at the news for more than 8 years now people have been complaining of Fulani herdsmen raping, destroying, killing etc just Google it and see how old such news is.

People from Middlebelt region complained about Fulani herdsmen, Miyetti Allah, northern politicians and opinion leaders did nothing, people from the south east complained they did nothing, south south complained still nothing they claimed it was all conspiracy and lies,

They said no one can stop anyone from moving or going to any part of Nigeria that is correct but no body is stopping you they are only saying stop destroying their properties and farm lands stop carrying guns and killing people, instead the governor said they are allowed to carry guns to protect their cows meanwhile Nigerians are not allowed to carry guns to protect their farms and their lives, Do you see the double standard?

now the West is complaining they are threatening them, it is clear who owns this country, because I am sure an Igbo or Yoruba or tiv man cannot just walk into farm owned by hausa's or Fulani's somewhere in Kano, Sokoto or Jigawa destroy the farm and walk away alive I'm very sure I've lived in both Kano and Jigawa so I know.

Even the Christians whether Hausa Christian, Yoruba or Igbo have to live by the rules set by the Fulani and Hausa Muslims rules concerning dressing, building, worshipping etc in Jigawa children stone non Muslim women who wear skirt that's knee level, when you complain to police they'll say "ehn no wear am na" they also throw stones on church buildings during their Sunday services, when you complain to the traditional ruler because the police are mad and they are in the pockets of the Fulani elites the ruler will say "Don't use speaker, you are provoking them by using speaker" mind you their own call to prayer in the south is done using speakers, when the speakers where no longer used the stoning continued even when the churches where no longer using microphones, the ruler of the area said "it's just children they are playing" we all knew the parents encouraged them, if you've been in Jigawa you know most of the churches are in a designated area made for church.

all these things never made the news, if you complain even people from the south will ask you "Wetin you go find there" they also don't enforce tinted permit, they don't check vehicle particulars and drivers license, they don't check tire expiry date, they don't even have plate numbers on their keke and motor cycles I asked one how the fork can you identify your bike without plate number if someone steals or or mistakenly swaps his with yours he said he'd just know, it's like your slippers or cloth you'll always know yours somehow.

Let me end this by saying I am not Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo I am just saying things as they are, the Fulani's are wrong but they won't accept it, if the yorubas are this angry you can imagine how the Igbos must feel. But this nation is more than just Yoruba Hausa or Igbo we must do things like human beings when you are wrong accept it and correct your mistake, don't try to justify your mistakes by making more mistakes.

Lemme say this, if yoruba elders refuse to stand their ground in behalf of Sunday Igboho, he will be arrested, jailed, and maimed....it just a matter of time...like the militia head in Benue State...

Things are not done properly in this country

Meanwhile, are they tired of sending their goods to other countries like they claimed? Which other west Africa get economic power of the west? In what currency would they be paid? Will they have free access to market there and escape paying tax? Bunch of mofos always making the wrong moves.

Though I don't believe this story, as there is no source but it is absolutely stupid for herders to be trying to stop farmers from selling their products. Fulanis kill farmers in Plateau, Kaduna, Benue, etc and they (Fulanis) are still saying the remaining farmers should not survive by selling few things they could lay their hands on!
If food from the north could get to Kwara, Kogi, Benue, please tell me how those foods will not get to Oyo, Ekiti, Enugu? The only way is, if we are in a defined active war!
If any part of the south is currently experiencing food shortage, it is not because of any blockade, even Abuja is currently surfering from food shortage.

They can keep their goods and feed themselves..... The ones selling here should not start misbehaving when there is no stuff to sell.
