I hope all sides are learning something in this struggle? 1. We are better off together as a country. 2. Farmers are kings 3. Our leaders are leading us astray. 4. Farming business is a serious business that must not be left to a certain region. 5. All these brouhaha is a great example of president Buhari failure. 1 Like |

but the Neighboring countries don't have the markets for these goods na.. in fact, most of their agricultural produce comes to Southern Nigeria.. Among the 3 neighbouring countries (Niger, Benin & Cameroon), Southern Nigeria (Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Onitsha etc) has more population and more economic purchasing power than even Niger, Benin & Cameroon combined not to talk abt their capitals only. 1 Like |

gotnel: The most important thing to establish here is mutual respect. Core northerners generally exhibit condescending attitude towards SW people. Majority belief SW people are weaklings that they can do whatever they like to. That impression must be corrected moving forward. |

Nigeria toying with food security. The effect of this will persist for years to come because farmers presently losing their investments will roll back production and some wille exit the business entirely. All because we cannot sit down and negotiate out challenges and we donot have umpires in government that are interested in the unity of this country |

Peterobi90: Why are you worried? You missed the attacks and vilification of northerners in the same 2021 that caused them to stop foods coming to the south in protest? You think it was their first choice? This is how you people try to rewrite history it’s 2021 we too can write English. Shebi you don’t need their food. Go and suck oil from Niger Delta. |

QuotaSystem: Oooh! Life is sacrosanct, and your proscribed terrorist brothers have been busy killing Southern farmers, please don't sell to us. I once said it,the buyer is the king, we can import everything. After all Thailand rice is polished and cheaper than Northern Stone rice. |

Peterobi90:Don't compare nigerians and Chinese, Nigerians are more daft with even more stupid leaders. It is very wrong for the south to depend on northern food. What if there is a war, then the south will be at a military disadvantage. Moreover the north reaps the economic benefits of agriculture while the southerners are looking for a job.The south needs to wake up. |

jumper524: Divert, Which country can you compete with? Thailand rice is cheaper and better... While yours is costlier and stony. Beef... You aren't in top 20 cow nations. Beans- Niger sells cheaper. Onions and Tomatoes... Cameroon and Cotonue. |

jumper524: Please enjoy your cheap too as it should be. I'm happy that this is happening at this time. Let each region become independent in food production. The south can also block their pipelines and close their oil wells. Let every region control their resources. That's what we've been asking for God bless the north for this wise decision. Restructuring is here already |
