Nigeria is due for another reset, but greed won't let it happen. We had our last reset 1999 with Obasanjo, our banking and telecom industry came out stronger but we couldn't harness the full potential especially the last 10 years. Now we grappling with terrorism and insecurity. 2 Likes |

OP there's no hope in sight. Even if Obama becomes president of Nigeria, nothing go change. We can't continue with a system like this. The rot is institutional. Restructuring along geo-economic lines is the answer. Failure to do this, then outright division is inevitable. Will any of the above stop the nonsense we are witnessing now? No. But it will prune governance to a manageable size and also make "the stoning" more effective. The leaders must lead well or get killed by mob action. |
