Stop Inciting People of Anambra, Obi tells Ngige

Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has cautioned Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Chris Ngige, against what he called “his irresponsible incitement of thugs and hoodlums to disturb the peace of the state”.

Obi, who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Val Obienyem, wondered “why Ngige is so desperate to win the senatorial election by all means as if his life depended on it”.

Obi spoke against the background of what he called “stage managed demonstration” by people he described as “members of the ACN thugs and hoodlums”.

Describing Ngige as “a mischievous man”, the Governor said “he had the uncanny ability that if he wanted to perpetrate any of his funny and devilish acts, like, kidnapping somebody tomorrow, he will first of all start shouting that all his supporters had been kidnapped”.

The statement said “Obi knows about that strategy but that he is too refined to encourage its use”.
Obi believes Ngige’s rival in the contest, Dora Akunyili of the All Progressive Gran Alliance (APGA), would beat him (Ngige) “and so he started shouting that his agents did this or that”.

“Even when his agents were caught by security agents with ballot papers, he started singing that his agents were harassed.”

The statement warned Ngige to stop inciting the masses.

“The man is funny, because he knows Akunyili will beat him, he is engaging in all kinds of mischief bordering on desperation.

“He is engaging on all kinds of propaganda on the net and in the media so that when he eventually loses he would enter another phase of propaganda telling the people that all kinds of antics were employed to muzzle him out. We understand him.”

We do not need ACN thugs in the East. Wherever ACN exist, they always cause violence. . .
