Good idea and hopefully norm.

Oga Sanwo just dey throw gidi, weight, around. In the right way, a few times now, good works.

Oga umahi still leads the pack of leaders in Nigeria.
He has to fight against the biggest microphone in Africa, which is Lagos.

Lagos mates are supposed to be California, London, Kuala lampo, Beijing, jo borg, etc.

So it will be nice to spread according to size. It is like a giant wearing a 5 years old cloth and flexing, wouldn't that be a comical sight. That is the case of Nigeria and Lagos.

We should and can be way better than we currently are.

Lagos is not Abia or Rivers.
Lagos pays the highest minimum wage in Nigeria and her workers are well renumerated.

what is 40,50, or 60 compared to the work these teachers do? How many primary or secondary school teachers in Lagos earn up to 100k? They are not well paid that's it. Make your findings

Nigerians value bb naija.

If am the governor, teachers will be paid up to 200k at least. Because with thst, more quality teachers will want to join.

Yeah,u have a point. Teachers are just so underrated in this country, which is one of the reasons our education sector is very poor.

EKO ONI BAJE!
But Nigerians should quit this sort of subservient nonsense - it’s your TAX monies (not BSO’s personal funds)!

Mediocrity being celebrated again as usual!

Is it a good thing to reward teachers who are the source and foundation of education? Yes!

Is it a good thing to reward only 13 teachers in the entirety of Lagos state? No!

What process was used? We don't know!

Was it transparent and open to all? I noticed that all the names were Yoruba names...I am not trying to be tribalistic (I am Yoruba) but can we confidently say that teachers from other tribes in Lagos are not performing?

Is a car the best reward? I will say 'No' but if we say 'Yes', why didn't the government do a car loan scheme and open to a larger pool? Was it not recently that someone in this same government was publicly advising Lagosians to use BRT buses (mind you, none of these government officials use the buses)?

Is this another show off by people in government office? Yes!

Is this politics? Capital YES!

You see, Nigerians have been so starved of good governance that they don't even know what is expected of their leaders. Once anyone throws meatpie service at them, they start to beat their drums.

So sad!

Dude, you should have stopped at the highlighted...
To conclude that the process is fraudulent simply because we Nairalanders “don’t know” is a sad self-commentary.

Nice one, governor Sanwo Olu. Little kindness often goes a long way. This will encourage others to sit up too as they would've seen what dedication to work could achieve/ earn an individual at the end of the day.
God bless Lagos State
