Tech Investors are rushing to Nigeria with their investments, but according to you, Nigeria is not investor-friendly.

Nigeria is actually not investor friendly, very far from it... Infact, Nigeria as it is currently is extremely hostile to investors, both local and foreign.

The only reason investors still come to Nigeria despite the harsh environment is because of Nigeria's market power; i.e. there's just so so much money to be made in Nigeria, so some investors brave the odds. Even the twitter guys just said it openly, despite not opening shop in Nigeria (for obvious reasons), their target market is still Nigeria, because of the money to be made.

You talk about tech investments rushing to Nigeria, the summary of my point is, if the Nigerian govt can wake up and do what its meant to do, the influx of those tech companies would multiply in exponential proportions. We are very far from where we should be.

Our TECH sector in Nigeria generated more global investment so far this year than the whole of Last, more than the whole of Ghana and their Twitter office can dream of.

Obviously, little Twitter doesn't want to compete with their BIG TECH elders in Nigeria so they settled for little Ghana, Ghana can keep small twitter, we have the big players in Nigeria.

You have population and human capacity but you lack good leadership.
So its like just grabbing it fast fast keeping one eye on known disaster in leadership/partisan politics.

That is the problem. Nations that are progressive donot have citizens speaking to fellow citizens using such language as you have above. They are at peace with one another. You may laud startups, new born babies in the home but it is another matter to have a home prepared to receive foreign guests.

No guest will be comfortable visiting a house where husband and wife are constantly bickering like Nigerians day after day. These things you celebrate should be a given, normal for a country of this size not news.

So please tone down the insults and receive the message of those who will not visit your house so that your house is open to ALL.
