Justice Aisha Bashir-Aliyu was on Tuesday April 13, sworn-in as the first female Chief Judge of Nasarawa state.

Bashir-Aliyu was sworn-in by Governor Abdullahi Sule after her confirmation by the Nigeria Judicial Council and screening by the State House of Assembly.

Prior to this, she had worked as an acting Chief Judge for three months. Governor Sule in his speech at the event asked the new Chief Judge to see her appointment as a litmus test, urging her to bring her wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of her onerous task.

Sule said;

“As a Chief Judge you must realise that this is a call to serve the people and in carrying out your duties, I urge you to let the fear of God and public interest take precedence over personal preferences and inclination."

Ordinarily, this should not make the headlines in a normal society. But we are in an abnormal society.

Men are scared that women are taking over. Why so?

Sisi Yewande and Madam Ngo of @ have the answers dearie.
Here we go.....
In many aspects of life, independent women have it made.
We are strong enough to face any challenge head-on, even without a support system in place, and we never have to worry about our needs going unmet because we simply won’t allow that to happen.
Men are accustomed to being the strong one in a relationship, the dominant decision maker who overpowers the timid submissive woman and usually gets his way.
Some men may feel threatened and become hostile to a successful lady, or he may just be so intimidated that he stops talking to you.
We’re sexy because we’re confident.
Even if we don’t have perfect bodies and flawless skin, we carry ourselves with pride and that naturally attracts attention.
When you whistle at the confident woman walking down the street, she does hear you, but she shrugs it off because she already knows how awesome she is.
If you really want our attention, you’ll have to try harder.
We live every day on top of the world, aspiring to be the best that we can possibly be.
We read, watch the news, and pay attention to current events.
Our Darling Men, If you have no meaningful contribution to the conversation at hand, or you constantly attempt to change the topic to sex, you will lose all credibility as well as any chance you ever had.
If you ever want to touch a lady's body, you must stimulate her mind first.
Let us stop here for now dearie.
Keep keeping your head up high kiss kiss kiss
And one more thing : Always ignore trolls wink
They aren't worth your time.
All the best in your studies beautiful kiss

She is one of them so no qualms. If she was from the "other religion" they would have find a way to sideline her.

If president and governors swears in CJN and that of the states respectivley.rather than the judicial council, how then do we expect indipendence of the judiciary, and fair judgment?
