In the same vein, the CPC governorship candidate in Abia State, Ako Atuluma, has described the crisis as uncalled for.

He disclosed that the CPC Presidential candidate,[b] Muhammed Buhari, refused to come to the state to campaign in spite of many appeals and should not be surprised at the low vote the party garnered.[/b]Atuluma said the crisis should be nipped in the bud with dispatch, adding however that he does not see the event affecting his own chances of winning the governorship election scheduled for April 26, saying that his support base was still intact.
