People are jus being emotional and not realistic ... This whole saga is about more money for clubs.. Every Elite club needs more money to stay competitive.. We are in an era where paying 70 to 100m is now seen as normal with weekly salaries of over 150k the new normal. Barca is hugely in debt and cannot even buy new players and cannot continue to pay hefty wages. In the Premier league it is Man City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Others becos of the investments dey have made. In Spain it is Madrid and Barca, and it is the same all round. The heavy spenders are the ones at the top of the table. If U cannot guarantee them improved revenue they will get it elsewhere

I said this is a money war...

UEFA and FIFA didn't invest such and have same energy when it comes to racism.

But they see they are about to be bleeped with the creation of ESL, they will lose lot of money, won't be interesting and then die down.

UEFA created nations league and still planning another format that will start in 2024. They are acting like they care, but it's all down to the pocket of each body.

UEFA is different from FIFA. The idea of an ESL is great for football bt how it is structured is not good enough for football. UEFA is majorly worried about money and competition bt FIFA is worried how this breakway league affects football as a whole. ESL needs to put up a better framework for the purposed league without insulting everybody working to improve football.

UEFA’s model seem to be fair enough and they are improving on it bt ESL seems Highly unfair to developing and upcoming teams.

Each team will get #500m euros.

For instance, as at January 2021, FC Barcelona was in debt to the tune of over €1.2B which included money owed for De jong, Coutinho and Arthur. The €500M you cited above that each of the ESL clubs will get can only half that debt, not baring other factors that will arise as a result of the formation of the ESL. For now all the big clubs seem to look at is projection of what they could get, ignoring the criticism that greeted its formation. UEFA, ECA and FAs are voicing against it, and if this is so then these agencies some of which are partly government will sabotage the financial targets of the newly formed ESL. Isn't it funny how the big clubs are considering gains they stand to gain with likes of C. Ronaldo in the super league yet no club from Portugal made the list (except if one makes the remaining 3 or so slots). So Portugal's FA will sit and watch while it's relegated to the background?
Therefore, this same way the ESL announced their independence, another league can decide to announce some new rules which will hinder or slow player movement to ESL clubs and this example will be reference. In fact, the FAs can decide to conspire to hike fees for players going to the ESL leagues, how will the ESL mitigate that? This business model the big clubs in Europe are working with is what is plunging lots of them into debt, and their ability to find ways around their laid down rules is what has led to their predicament.
If they want to go out of debt, they should reconsider their business models.

May your days be long, this is actually the real problem, the financial structure of football has been a bubble right from time, it's threatened to implode over time and the pandemic is the pin that has come to burst that bubble.

Hope you know that the #500m euros is not all the will make from the tournament.
That aside Uefa messed up and unfortunately for Uefa, Europe is not Africa. As @today a court in madrid has banned Uefa & Fifa from placing an form of sanction on the team/players of this club. Till the final determination of the case.

Some of them like Barca will still have their debt uncleared but the fund from ESL is a life saver compared to what they will get from Laliga And UCL.

At this stage ESL have thrown one card let Uefa respond but honestly the threat from Uefa is not the solution. These clubs are dieing, their funding is a big issue and they are the ones that pay these players.

Check Barca debt and their wage bill.
As a business is it sustainable?
Infact all the clubs have the income affected by the pandemic yet most players refuse to take pay cut

I don't need to check barcas wage bill. Since u have checked it, pls tell me what is wrong with d wage bill.

U say "all the clubs have the income affected by the pandemic yet most players refuse to take pay cut".

that's just a hallucination of some clowns on Twitter. You think billionaires do things without carefully thinking it through?
At first it was Barcelona fans blaming Perez until Perez revealed yesterday that he didn't even have to convince Barca president considering their difficulties. Then he no players will be banned and nobody is pulling out of anything that they've already signed everything. What you need to know now is that the British media are now trying to start a propaganda war /psychological operations to try and manipulate an outcome. Nothing is happening. In fact, Abramovich is in a yacht somewhere with 15 models drinking champagne and anticipating 3.5bn alert. You think billionaires cares about the emotional tantrums of clowns on Twitter?

They don't give a damn. Money still flows into their bank accounts.
