It's not bitterness or hatred to ask how a person made the money they had.

If you must tell us how much you are worth, then you owe it to tell us how you got it.

Again it's not bitterness or hatred to know how a person made his/her wealth.

You became a millionaire doing what?
Nigeria journalist don't know how to ask questions, they just ask random questions.
If it was an intelligent person asking her questions, she will be ask to tell the world what she was doing that made her a millionaire at the age of 18.

Because i know that in the western world, every young millionaire In Europe or America has what he or she is doing that has turned them into a millionaire at a very young age. But NIGERIA is so different, you see a young rich guy or lady and you can't tell the job or business he or she does that has brought about the money and cars.
Omotola was a very hot actress na, herself, Olu Jacobs, his wife, Genevieve, RMD owned Nigeria's entertainment scene. I'm talking about 1995. She did the hottest movies back then with RMD, Ramsey Noah.

Hanty millionaire.
No disrespect, but that is VERY less than likely.
At 18, you were relatively just a nobody who had just been fortunate enough to have been picked to feature in Violated.

Video clubs rented out Mortal Inheritance VHS tapes at 5Naira per day, while it cost 50naira to buy the same movie!
So can you tell me how you were a millionaire at 18?
How?

Movie roles at the time cost about 20thousand
to 40thousand naira and that was for lead actors like Liz Benson, Teco Benson, Ramsey Noah, Olu Jacobs and Regina Askia.
Genevieve began entering that class and all she got was envy.

But what if NwaAmaikpe is wrong and you truly were a millionaire at 18, shouldn't you be ashamed that at almost 50, no one or verrrrry few people outside your immediate family can say you lifted them to their peak?

How has your millions impacted the lives of the people you are trying to motivate with this fable?
How many scholarships are in your name?
Asides clout chasing, how many hospital bills in the South East and South South have been taken care of courtesy of you?

If you are a thrillionaire, you are an imaginary thrillionaire in your own pocket.
People like this should go and ask Akon what it means to be successful or rich. It's useless if it benefits no one but you.

While the ignorant hail you, people like myself in my insanest state will not recommend you as a distant role model to anyone.

She doesn't owe anything to anyone outside her family. Scholarship keh.

This lady has been in the industry since she was younger, handled major roles as well , and back then there is still a bit of decency in the profession.....

Guess she made clean money then than sharing her body.....

Emmanuella is equally a reference, don't come and say she was a harlot at her 12yrs if she shows you her acct details.....

Focus is the key and destiny as well......

We all can see Emmanuella's rise...

Can't say the same for the time period she's quoting.

At the currency rate obtainable in the early-mid 90's, being a millionaire through her role in film at the said time looks improbable.

In line with previous comments, dropping a gargantuan statement with no supporting evidence, is at best mischievous!!!

More so for someone of her stature.

In my opinion, If Omotola was truly a millionaire at 18, then her son who is already 18 now should be a millionaire. She should be ashamed to tell the world that her 18 year old son doesn't have his own money. We all know that becoming a millionaire in the 90s was more difficult than becoming a millionaire now. If I became a millionaire at 18, doing something noble and genuine, then my own child should become a billionaire at 18 doing the same or similar thing I did.
It is either Omotola is lying to the world that she was a millionaire at 18, or maybe she became a millionaire doing the kind of work that she can't allow her own child to do.

At what age did she begin to act movies? Her early movies where Mortal inheritance and Ijele(not sure I get the spelling right ). So how much was she paid way back 1997 for mortal inheritance to play the role of a sickle cell survivor in love with free amata.

I pity people who lie and youth read all these things and get depressed putting unnecessary pressure on themselves forgetting we all have our individual life path and destiny.

They won't come out to say how they sleep around and other shady things they do for wealth and fame. Even the Nigerian system celebrates those with money not those striving to live honest lives.

. In the 90s naira was about N25 to the dollar, short time was about N500 and all night was about N2,500 max. So for an 18 year old to sleep her way to millions would extraordinary amount of sleeping.

Did they lie? 90% of Nigerian actors and actresses are prostitutes. They sell themselves to government officials and businessmen and come and form “success” to deceive small children.

She should explain what she did at that age to be a “millionaire”

He is right though. If you were born in the 80's and 90's you'd know that she and Genevieve were very popular for sleeping with Governors and wealthy men for favours or benefits. Their escapades weren't hidden. Even magazines and newspapers carried the news back then.

Not to mention the one that took it in the butt and got houses and millions of dollars. The streets know

What is wrong with Nigerians?! You became a millionaire at 18 without telling us how? You started ‘work’ at 15 & by 18, you were already a ‘MILLIONAIRE’?
Only a fool will believe this usual Nigerian success story rubbish.

People seem to forget that 1mil as at then is not 1 mil as at now. The valuë of 1 mil in the 90's is no less than 10mil now. So Madame done get 10mil for account at age 18? I dônt think so.
my uncle has an 18 flat upstairs built in the early nineties with less than 5million.if omotala had 1 million in the nineties,it means, she was probably the richest actress as at then and should have at least a built house of her own or a very big business that should be well known.I believe, it's a motivational speaking gone wrong
