- APC has condemned the incessant killings of innocent Nigerians

- The party made described the kidnapping and banditry in the country as uncalled for

- John Akpanudoedehe, national secretary of APC national caretaker committee, however, said that the FG is doing its best to tame the ugly situation

Following the rate of killings and kidnappings in the country, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that it would not play politics “with matters of life” and the wellbeing of Nigerians in general.

TheCable reports that this was contained in a statement on Monday, April 26, by John Akpanudoedehe, national secretary of APC national caretaker committee.

The leadership of the ruling APC has said that the federal government would not play politics with the security and wellbeing of Nigerians.

Akpanudoedehe, however, said Nigerians must unite against criminality and insecurity.

He said:

“The issue of insecurity in the country has found expression in terrorist and criminal activities of Boko Haram, bandits, kidnappers, rustlers and recently, the highly condemnable attacks on security formations in some states.

“These are current realities and the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not play politics with matters of life and our collective wellbeing as a nation. Only in safety can we enjoy the current agriculture revolution which has seen Nigeria achieve self-sufficiency in rice and other staple food items.

The party added that only in safety can Nigerians enjoy the current infrastructure revolution that has witnessed the rehabilitation, construction and reconstruction of over 13,000 kilometers of critical federal roads, construction of thousands of affordable and housing in the country.

The national secretary said Nigerians must not fall victim to “sectarian opportunists” who want to exploit the country’s security situation for gains.

Akpanudoedehe added:

“The President Muhammadu Buhari administration is criminalising crime, not ethnicity. The President Buhari government will continue and strategically deploy all state resources in achieving public safety.

“We must shun the antics and activities of unpatriotic and sectarian opportunists fanning divisive embers, promote peaceful coexistence, eschew bitterness and unite against insecurity and crime, for the development of the country."

- They won't play politics with insecurity but sent in a combined team of police and soldiers to track down d commander of a vigilante group protecting their region from rampaging Fulani herdsmen but yet bandits have been ransacking villages in Niger and Yobe states consistently yet no joint force to repel or reclaim the areas.

So what has it been doing before? APC have transformed Nigeria into a theatre where senseless anarchy, violence, orgy of bloodshed and deaths are the order of the day.All because terrorists have been instituted into government.
