Thank you, I couldn't have put it better myself! Nigerians are far too easily impressed by big and shiny structures, at the cost of less flashy things that would make a much bigger difference for the better, so the politicians oblige by aiming for size at the expense of utility. Nobody would be clapping for Sanwo-Olu if he quietly opened a dozen smaller primary-care clinics and set up water-filtration facilities across the LGAs, so he simply won't bother.

Biggest by building size not biggest by employee commitment and professionalism towards patients... so the result will still be the same - doctors will divert patients to their own hospitals, nurses come to work late and expect fat pay etc. anyone that challenges status quo is fired.
