You don't just fight on different fronts when you have not gotten a strong base.
That's why they are trying so hard to conquer NE,NW and NC,then making inroads in SW and SE. Though SS is not spared,they are more careful,because wealth there sustains their operations through kidnapping for ransom,ransom paid with allocation money from oil.
Once they capture the whole North,with enough machinery to launch attacks in the South,they can now go ahead with full force.
At the end it will be suicidal to them.

Boko Haram hide behind religion like IPOB hide behind Judaism. They are of a particular tribe Kanuri. The largest victims of BH have been other Muslims just like IPOB will affect its own people.
