It is now very glaring that copy-and-paste democracy is not working for Nigeria. It think it is time Nigerians craft a Home Made Democratic process that would bring about sustainable development in the long run. Our current form of democracy is only effective when a high percentage of the electorate are educated and enlightened but the contrary is the reality in Nigeria.

I think a good start would be to introduce a Minimum academic qualification for Eligible Voters. Our democracy would yield better results if voters have at least an SSCE qualification. This would go a long way in eradicating vote buying and other forms of voter manipulation.

So basically what you are saying is if a person don't have SSCE,that person is less human.Point out one democracy that apply this logic apart from 1960 Southern U.S.A against black voters. So since the number is not favouring you,you want to defranchise a huge number of the population. You see why we think you people are dangerous.

That one educated person failed doesn't mean you should go for an illiterate. An illiterate in any case will be a bad option

What you is you look for a person that is not only educated but also possess the right leadership qualities

at least a B.Sc to vote in a guber election and an M.Sc to vote or be voted for in Presidential election.

the truth is that when illiterates vote, they don't know what they are doing.

Electoral college will be best for Nigeria.

With Fools n Lunatics voting the likes of Kalu Orji Theodore Orji Ikpeazu your post is completely useless.

All the lunatics/failures listed above are voted for in highly educated state why then should the uneducated almajiri be denied his or her own right to vote failures like Buhari while Igbos get to keep their right while making fooliah decisions times over ?

No igbo need explain shit to me. Go remove the log in your father's eye b4 coming on NL to write shii.

As if votes count in Nigeria.

President of Nigeria is chosen through rotation between the north and south. The aspirant selected after consideration for zoning/rotation is presented to the electorate to certify with votes. That’s Nigeria’s presidential election.

In the south, it rotates between the regions or zones.

If you don’t understand or can’t accept the fact that it’s the turn of the Igbo to succeed PMB, you shall continue to have the illiterate voters in the south and the talakawas and almajiris in the north to determine who leads you after PMB. Unarguably, a poorly educated Abokii shall emerge as next president of Nigeria since people like you don’t see that it’s the turn of the Igbo to succeed PMB, because rotation of the presidency is necessitated by the skewed and lopsided political structure of Nigeria.

1. In other words, you want to bring in educational qualifications. Now where was that tried?...yes, the US, as a racist means of stopping black people from voting

2.Just because someone does not have SSCE does not mean that they don't have hopes and dreams and aspirations...and therefore should be exculded from voting

3.You will end up creating a large mass of very angry people.

4.By the way, your post reeks too much of condescension. You don't like the uneducated very much do you"?

5. In the last election we had candidates with degrees galore....yet the two highest scored voters...one had an OND and the other had a school cert attempted, plus a 'diploma' from the NDA. Not one of your SSCE voters thought to vote for people like Moghalu that had degrees, and at least an idea of how to fix the economy. All the degree holders that tried to get the two major party presidential ticket were kicked out.

6. Again , restricting the franchise defeats the purpose of a direct representative democracy. If you want a technocratic dictatorship like the old Soviet Union, just say so.

Don’t mind them.

They change the goal post each time depending on who has the ball. That way, Nigeria continues to deteriorate. Karma is a bitch against unjust circumstances.

He wouldn’t vote Muoghalu with chains of degrees but he wants only educated people to vote.
