The state of insecurity in Nigeria is terrible at the moment. Bandits seem to be dominating the Northern region while Herdsmen continue to terrorise the Southerners. It seems the people of the South West are frustrated about the recent activities of Herdsmen in their region. In recent times, the South Western people have held rallies to agitate for a Yoruba Nation. However, the agitation hasn’t yielded any positive result as South West Governors aren’t in support of the course. How would there be any positive result if the Governors of the region are not in support? Earlier today, the South West Governors alongside Bola Ahmed Tinubu made it clear that the Yoruba Agitators are not representing the interest of the entire Yoruba people. The statement of Tinubu and the South West Governors wasn’t received well by Nigerian Activist, Comrade Deji Adeyanju. A leader like Chief Obafemi Awolowo would openly align with his people in a time like this. Awolowo was an open Yoruba jingoist who jingoism was symbiotic to the peace, posterity and progress of other ethnic nationalities. Chief Awolowo would openly condemn any anti-peopes' agenda even if the sitting government was his political party. Baba would always go beyond party/political membership/affiliation to praise oppositions who were doing well, openly condemn his party members who were dafts. Bola Ahmed Tinubu isn't a Yoruba voice in any way. Same Tinubu would have called for the head of the sitting president if he was to be in opposition party with the federal ruling party.
