I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses. In my years as member, I've come to realize that people dislike and distrust who they don't understand. So, it's not unexpected that majority that dislike JWs say disdainful and untruthful things about Us.

The society - The Watchtower society, supposedly “God’s organization on earth”.

The birdcatcher - Satan.

DF’d (dee-effed) - Disfellowshipped - Someone who’s been kicked out of the religion for breaking one of the cult’s rules. They’re to be shunned and treated as if they’re invisible regardless of whether they’re your parents or even your own children.

DA’d (dee-ay’d) - Disassociated - Someone who defects or chooses to leave the Jehovah’s Witness religion. They’re regarded as deceitful, bitter, disgruntled, lying opposers who are mentally diseased. JW’s are taught that they can catch this disease simply by talking to ex-members.

Pioneer - A Jehovah’s Witness who devotes 70+ hours preaching a month (for free).

Opposer - Someone who simply disagrees with Jehovah’s Witness teachings.

You grow up never acknowledging your own birthday, treating it as a normal day and not celebrating it. You also don't celebrate Christmas, Easter, new years, Valentine’s Day or national days like Independence Day. But you don't miss it, because you’ve never had them anyway. You’ll also find that you feel at least a little bit proud about it though because you’re taking your religion seriously and those “silly people” are celebrating “pagan” festivals.

Your weekends are never your own. In fact, you won’t ever get a lie in. Saturday morning is spent knocking on doors and Sunday mornings are spent in the Kingdom Hall for a 2 hour meeting followed by more knocking on doors. On Sunday you likely won’t get home until about 3:30 pm.

If you’re in school you’re expected to try and convert your classmates and you’re not allowed to have non-JW friends outside of school. So if they knock for you after school to play outside or come over to their house you have to think up an excuse and say no.

You won’t learn about any other religion, unless it’s from Watchtower literature, and you’re taught that everything that the Watchtower magazines say are true. To question “God’s organization” is to question God himself - and you remember what happened to Korah when he questioned Moses? God killed them all! (This is actually a real threat that the governing body use against their followers).

You’re taught that Armageddon is coming any day now - it’s “just around the corner” (a real term they use) and the only way to stop Jehovah from killing you is to become a Jehovah’s Witness before Armageddon.

Your parents are likely depressed, repressed or have anger issues due to the fact that they’ve been holding back their real talents and never studied or pursued things they were genuinely interested in. Hobbies are OK, but unless they benefit the Watchtower society in any way they’re regarded as “useless pursuits”.

You know full well from an early age that you’ll never go to university. The Watchtower society teaches that university is dangerous and causes people to think critically - something the religion doesn't want its members to do. I mean, why would you want to go to university and improve your mind when you could peddle magazines doors to door FOR FREE and work building Kingdom Halls FOR FREE so that years later the Watchtower society can sell them for a profit? Of course you and your old congregation won’t see a penny of that money, it’ll be used to settle child molestation charges out of court.


In fact, one of the leaders, Gerrit Losch, claims that going to university is like shooting yourself in the head.

You’re taught that all non Jehovah’s Witnesses are bad, evil and not to be trusted. That only Jehovah’s Witnesses are capable of real love and that if you ever leave the religion all Jehovah’s Witnesses will shun you. You’re taught that Jehovah’s Witnesses are your real family and you must be loyal to the organization because it’s impossible to worship god without it.

You develop a hatred and mistrust of the outside world and you have black and white thinking which you don't even realize you have. (Check out answers by active Jehovah’s Witnesses on here to see what I mean).

You’re commanded not to watch or read any negative news report about Jehovah’s Witnesses or to read anything that says the Jehovah’s Witnesses are wrong. You should preach to others but if they try to tell you about their religion you’re to leave immediately.

You occasionally hear about a pedophile problem or child molestation payouts in courtsbut you’re assured that these are “apostate driven lies” - even if the Watchtower society has made many out of court payouts to the “so called” victims - pay no attention, it’s a “test from Satan”.

So, in short, it’s like living in a bubble. You don’t actually know the real world or understand it. You likely come across as odd to non-members and if/when you leave the religion you find yourself not prepared mentally to cope with it - hence why a few (33%) return after leaving.

You stopped at no peace (hopelessness), but the bible pressed forward to give us hope in this world. Not after we died, but there is hope now. In this passage you quoted only lack of peace, yhe Hope's are: Faith and Love (breastplates), and then HOPE of Salavation (helmet). The word HOPE is here. Dear readers, these two points are what you must study to have hope here on earth. And then, you will experience peace. I WITNESS JEHOVAH but am not a member.
I LOVE them so much because,
---Of all the CHRISTAIN denominations....
They are the MOST Enlightened, Educated, Exposed.
It is usually difficult to SPOT the Illiterates among them.

They train their KIDS to be resourceful in future
They are good at PUBLIC SPEAKING.
They dress modest.
They rarely give in, to the changes of the new age.

They study the BIBLE more than any other denomination.

Above all they have the BEST EVANGELISM network, involving both the rich and the poor. (youngest and oldest)
Their CLERGYMEN talk cautiously, unlike many others who talk back at the congregation carelessly.
Never MONEY driven nor conscious.

I always entertained them right from my CHILDHOOD and I have learnt a lot.
I just wish I can worship GOD, the way they do.
MOST times I feel ashamed as a christain when I see them.
I see them as CHRISTAIN EXTREMISTS.
I hope to pay them a visit soonest.

In the days of Israel God dealt with this people as His own special possession and promised them to continue being with them throughout their generations {Exodus 19:5} that's why no miracles were recorded outside Israel if it doesn't involve the Israelites or a prophet from Israel.
Many of their prophets never performed a single miracle while few were empowered to perform wonders.
But when God's son (Jesus Christ) arrived in their midst things changed, Jesus performed so many miracles that one of his closest confidants said "we can't record all the powerful signs Jesus performed" {John 21:25} the last prophet prior to his time never performed one single miracle {John 10:41} yet the Israelites believed that John the baptist was indeed a man of the true God! Matthew 21:26
During the time Jesus was performing this signs he made it clear that miracles belongs to Israelites alone for a reason {Mark 7:24-30} in the future miracles will fill the earth and peoples the world over will enjoy the benefits when God's son heal all sicknesses and death once.
But before then the Israelites whom God chose as His special people need to experience this on a small scale so that they can be fully convinced to take the good news everywhere.
Immediately after the death of Jesus God released His active force (Holy Spirit) upon the first set of Israelites who accepted Jesus' teachings {Act 2:1-4} this is according to God's promise made for Israelites {Joel 2:28-32 compare to Act 2:15-21} Peter reminded their people this promises and those who heard it were moved to accept Christianity! Act 2:37-42

Will miracles continue to happen among Christians?
The answer is "NO" once Christianity has been fully established the miracles will stop! {1Corinthians 13:8-10} because the purpose has been accomplished. That's why Christians like Timothy who was a Bishop in the first century was asked to go for medications {1Timothy 5:23} this wouldn't have been so if Jesus is still performing miracles in their midst since he is always with them (in the spirit) Matthew 28:20
Today many liars and deceitful men are going about using magic and tricks to woo gullible people into contributing money to enrich themselves {Matthew 24:11} their signs will look so real that if care is not taken true believers in God's promises may loose interest in God's word and follow them for healing {Matthew 24:24} this religious title chiefs will win the heart of politicians and gain prominence everywhere! Revelations 16:13-14

So when we tell you that Jesus is no more performing miracles today we are not saying God's work has stop but the privilege given to humans back then to be used as agents of miraculous works is no more!

However you came up brandishing your daddy G.O perhaps because you believe in him as a man of God, that's why i told you that based on facts and findings from God's word that man is not a worshiper of our own God!

Paul was talking about GIFTS of the SPIRIT which is the first facet of God's Holy Spirit followed by FRUIT of God's Holy Spirit.

Jesus claimed he is the tree (vine) planted by God {John 15:1} so Jesus stands as the tree that will heal the nations and bring about life everlasting. But first the seed need to be planted before it could germinate and grow that's why Jesus must die just as a seed planted must desolve in the ground to bring forth another body which will benefit reapers and eaters of it's fruit. 1Corinthians 15:42-45

By the time Jesus was preaching and teaching with miracles nobody remained with him when the time comes for him to be down as seed, all his followers ran away!
But after germination and the tree began growing nobody could stop the disciples who initially ran away leaving their Master behind now that their Master is no more physically with them! Act 4:13-17, 5:28
WHY? Because Jesus is no more in the flesh but he has become an indomitable life giving spirit! 1Corinthians 15:45
So the tree has begun growing and the first thing to notice in any tree is it's GIFT: How~
Fast it could grow?

Foliage projects under the heat of the sun?
Strength of it's root to get moist?

All these are the GIFTS that trees do have in common but the second facet belongs to just one particular tree: FRUIT, each tree produces according to it's kind, a mango tree will never produce cashew! Matthew 7:16-18

So whether it's the miracles, speaking in tongues, prophecies, knowing sacred secrets (not written in God's word) are all GIFTS, the FRUIT of God's Holy Spirit has nine unique tastes: LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, GOODNESS, GENTLENESS, FAITH, MILDNESS and SELF-CONTROL! Galatians 5:22-23

While the GIFTS of a tree will be forgotten quickly since there are other trees around having the same GIFTS, the FRUIT remains unforgettable because no other tree can produce that special fruit!

So Paul was saying that all those GIFTS will be done away with because such GIFTS could be found in other religions but as for the FRUIT of God's Holy Spirit only Jesus' true followers can produce it!

I have a mixed bag of experiences with JWs offline. I had one as a classmate in University, cool guy not too introverted and quite personable. Had another as a work colleague and he went to UK for Masters. Both of them I had to be told they were JW, they never tried to preach to me. I have 2 colleagues I do work with off and on that did not go to tertiary institutions, they have tried to preach to me. I have another ex colleague who became exJW who also did not go to a tertiary institution. All of them where born into JW families. I have not experienced any particularly odious behaviour from any of them though, even though one of them was philandering even while married but that isn't a JW thing.

If JW is a cult they must keep it on the down low and are not obnoxious with it offline. Online however my experience has been nothing but one obnoxious person after another.

So offline most of my neighbours know me as the nice JW in their neighbourhood but how many knew what i beleive? Well it's until when they want to celebrate their Birthdays, Christmas, New Year, Easter, Salah and so on that they'll realize that the nice man who often eat, drink, play and discuss friendly with them has beliefs that stands like a barrier between us!

It is funny how you want to portray Ceaser as the STAR boy when your evil mates were quoting many verses about every thing evil. Now, you have come to say Ceasar to you us not evil. If Ceasar is not evil to you, then, you lied to your congregation about the CAC registration of your evil church.
